EPL adjusted stadia capacity
« on: August 19, 2020, 01:34:05 PM »
How many fans every Premier League club could have in their stadiums with one metre social distancing measures in place.

Football is being played out in front of no fans right now but soon we could have them back in stadiums in England.

We are set to see pilot events in September with some fans in attendance and if they are successful we will soon see spectators in all grounds.

Capacity will be limited and those attending will have to adhere to new codes of behaviour which may mean no singing or shouting so as to respect social distancing measures.

There will also be crowd management in place with staggered entry times and plenty of hand sanitising points.

But how full might stadiums be when we do eventually get fans back into them?

Well, Liberty Games have done some calculations and found out how many supporters would get in on the premise of one metre social distancing measures.

If we do not get a vaccine, how long does this charade go on for?

I assume this considers that there will be no away support so the home supporters could take the whole ground.

No chanting 'Is this a library...?".
Polite applauds when we score.
Stony silence when we concede.

Looking at the figures, this virus appears to be weakening with every replication.

Will be done and dusted by February/March 2021 imo.

Sorry but it's true  ;D

Hated being dragged in as a kid with my dad in the 80s just because they all thought he was Tony Brown(he's the spitting image) and he got all our food and drink for free because of it.

Total misery and negativity throughout
.

Blowing up without the people in it of course

At least its relatively civilised in the Halfords. I can only ever remember seeing one minor scuffle there, involving I think a West Ham supporting woman aged about 60!

If they allocate tickets to season ticket holders looks like we'll get to see 1 game in 3 (give or take)

I think it was because she was supporting West Ham. All a bit pathetic, grown men pointing her out as if she was a major security threat.

In the ground over the 35 years ive been going i can only remember a handful of scraps inside tbf. One in the BRE in '93ish when seats werent allocated after it had just been converted to seating and there was a fight over sitting in a specific seat.

Fergies last game was mad with Man Utd fans amongst us in the SME end but they soon got 'relocated' with or without police help.

Social distancing measures set to be dropped from 1st November. Is that the date we will fully return to The Hawthorns? Hopefully without all the gimmicks such as one way systems, masks, closed kiosks etc.

One of our fans had just handed over £3:60 for a Balti pie...then she turns up offering £3:65
