Pointless.

I haven't been to a cup game for many years and I won't until they take them seriously. I guess those days are long gone though.

The new kits look like some cheap championship club but at least we'll look the part after we're relegated.

I'm not expecting us to do anything. It's depressing, I think pre-season optimism hasn't been this low since 2006-07 after Robson got us relegated.

We're DOOMED!!!  :(

Odemwingie was probably our most effective player at putting crosses in last season when he played wide left. We need someone with pace who can play wide or we risk being very one dimensional. Sinclair would be perfect.

So first choice team next season...

                      Long
El Ghanassey         Odemwingie

Brunt      Yacob/Mulumbu      Morisson

Ridgewell   Olsen   McAuley   Jones

                      Foster

Subs: Fortune, Gera, Rosenberg, Thomas, Dorrans

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Give us TIME we're kicking on
« on: January 31, 2012, 10:07:32 AM »

It's taken us 10 years of building to get where we are. We should be kicking on now not hoping we don't get any more injuries which would seriously threaten our premier league place.

If we're lucky we'll finish 17th.

Hodgsons p!ssed off with the lack of ambition.

Morrisons p!ssed off with the lack of ambition.

A lot of fans are p!ssed off with the lack of ambition.

I smell relegation.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Could Hodgson be sacked?
« on: January 17, 2012, 02:14:46 PM »

The problem is not Hodgson so much as our squad just isn't strong enough.

If everybodys fit & available & playing well we will give anyone in the league a game. The trouble is behind the first 11 there is just no quality.

We are missing Gera, based on the short cameo we saw & need a replacement.
If Brunts not playing well the midfield doesn't work.
If Long is missing we don't look like scoring.
And god forbid if we lost Olssen for any length of time, we'd struggle (which is what happened last year!)

If we don't get some reinforcements in January I expect a relegation battle. Which is a shame because we have the potential to push on for a top 10 finish.

We've always been a bit pooh as long as I can remember but its better being a bit pooh in the premier league than in the 2nd or 3rd division.

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: In your opinion, are we now safe?
« on: April 17, 2011, 09:53:07 PM »

Mathematically we are not safe but IT is ours to lose now. If we can't take the probable 2 or 3 more points to make sure we would deserve to go down.

Personally I think Wolves, West Ham & Blackpool look doomed.

...and its fated that we'll secure safety & relegate wolves at the custard bowl...isn't it?

Re: Carson - time to go?

No.

Carson could have done a little better with a couple of situations yesterday, but his recent form has been really good. Some people just can't function without having a constant target for their frustrations. I've seen people like Reina & Van der Sar have bad days this season as well. He is young and will keep improving and we are lucky to have him.

I think we need to concentrate on establishing ourselves as a decent prem team before we start worrying about expanding the hawthorns.

Fantastic result again today, well done Roy, well done to the players, great support from the fans who went up on the free coaches.

Surely with 39 points we are safe now..?

West ham definately will.

If Wigan & Wolves can get some wins then Blackpool & Baggies will be in trouble.

Personally I think we've had our chances over the last few weeks and failed to take them.
