Jonas Olsson retires
« on: September 20, 2019, 06:45:40 PM »
What i wouldn't give to see a partnership like his and McAauley's in their pomp. Olsson was somewhat of our talisman in our earlier days and i'll always have fond memories of him, particularly his goal and celebration in the famous Wo1ve5 game.

Well done big man, a sometimes fractious relationship with the fans but no one could ever doubt your commitment to the cause and the club, enjoy a well deserved retirement

I could see him being a successful manager in the future, seems to have the right character and intelligence for it.

Jonas son loved a Derby goal seem to remember him scoring a goal v blues and the following season at seal park. We didn't pick up many points without him. Modern day legend will be looked upon in 30 years as fondly as people of an older generation see Robertson and wile

Top career big man good luck on the next adventure

Loved Jonas, was a huge part of the club staying in the premier league for several seasons in a row and he always gave it 110%.

Hope he does well in whatever he decides to pursue.

Congratulations on your retirement Jonas.  I hope he is invited and has the time to do a lap of honour at the Hawthorns sometime very soon.  He was one of our best defenders in the premiership era.

Top player for us and instrumental in our promotion season. Enjoy the retirement, would love to be able to do the same at his age!

Exactly that. Well said.

I echo those sentiments. There was a period a few seasons ago when we couldn't win a game without Jonas in the team.
