Anyone taking over the Owls without a solid contract needs their heads read. I hope DM gives it a wide berth.

You can never be sure in football, but the impression I have of Darren is, amongst other attributes he has, he is grounded, level headed and loyal (rare in football).

Based on those, I think he will want to see the job out at Doncaster and achieve the best he can with them.

He is till on his apprenticeship and I would love to see him as Head Coach to an established Premier League club one day, joining Sheffield Wednesday might derail that for him.

Whatever you decide, all the very best "Big Dave"

I think it'd be a bad move for Big Dave. Go for promotion this season then wait for a better job where he has more chance to succeed would be my advice to him.

It's not impossible he could end up back at the Albion one day.

Agree with others that say it would be a bad move for Darren Moore (or anybody else for that matter).

He is showing how good a manager he is.

I was annoyed when we sacked him but it was arguably the right decision although promotion alluded us.

For me Moore's major problem was that he listened to Graeme Jones too much. I have no doubt that the 3 at the back playing it out regardless was Jones' idea (borrowed from Martinez).

Hopefully he'll be plying his trade in the Championship next season after getting Doncaster promoted.

I completely agree with that. He gave Jones too much responsibility. He has only himself to blame for that. I'm hopeful he's learned from that experience.

He is potentially a very good manager.

And Jones is still unemployed by the looks of it. No real surprise there given the job he did at Luton.

Nice of him to finally confirm this given he's been doing part time since the end of the Euros in 2016.

Anybody know where Bobby Hope is? He was one of the first players I noticed in an Albion shirt and he immediately impressed me with his perfectly timed long passes, and he didn't have a bad goalscoring record. Apparently he was working for the Albion as a Chief Analyst about 10 years ago, so I assume he just retired. Although he came from Scotland he seems to have stayed in the Midlands.

Much appreciated. Though I wasn't really a proper Albion fan back then, as a young kid I remembered his long passes, which even now is what I think of as typical Albion football. Good to know he still thinks of Albion as his club.

Derek McInnes at most 'dangerous point' of seven-year spell

After close to eight years and almost 400 games in charge, Derek McInnes has arrived at the most dangerous point of his time as manager of Aberdeen.

His reign started with a goalless draw at Easter Road in April 2013. It could end at Easter Road on Saturday if the Dons don't arrest their decline with a victory.

The mood music at the club is dark right now. McInnes, and his assistant Tony Docherty, will surely know what peril they are in. For a club with the third highest wage bill in the Scottish Premiership, the results have gone badly awry of late.

A sizeable majority of fans have been fed-up for some time with what they call the dourness of Aberdeen's football, the lack of creativity, ambition and goals.

Sorry I should have put from a managerial career point of view I can't understand why posters call for him to manage us.
You are both right that the suggestions seem to be based solely on the fact that he played for us.

Craig Dawson could be playing Champions League football next year.

I always rated him but some people didn't. I think he was one of those players that wasn't particularly flashy but most teams are crying out for defenders like him.
