It would seem that James McLean has broken his arm or wrist training with Scotland - serious enough to possibly require surgery

Surely he did? His debut appearance for the first team was at age 16 wasn’t it? Young enough to be an Academy member at the time?

I thought he came over from NZ (with his old man?) I checked on Wiki and he did then join the academy setup but then quickly progressed to the first team squad.
Apologies, you were correct Baggies (et al)

I know there is a big debate over the old Northern Ireland/Eire issue but there’d be uproar if he was playing for Scotland.

Yacob linked with Forest.

https://www.expressandstar.com/sport/football/west-bromwich-albion/2018/09/06/former-west-brom-midfielder-claudio-yacob-reportedly-set-for-nottingham-forest-move/
Gutted, he’d have been a good player to have this season and I felt he’d only been let go because he wanted to return home.

Just read on Facebook there is a claim that Saido Berahino has fathered 3 children from 3 women in the last 6 weeks :o. Anyone knows whether this is true? If it is he is going to get taken to the cleaners and serves him right.

Victor Anichebe is accusing his former club, Beijing Enterprises of match fixing after the coach told him 'not to try'.  Maybe he just doesn't understand sarcasm.

As a moderating team we have discussed the best way to talk about ex-players and feel the best way is to have one topic where any ex-player can be discussed.

The point of the thread is to keep people updated on where some of our ex-players whether legend, boo-boy or even youngsters have ended up and what they are up to these days.

THIS THREAD IS NOT FOR TELLING PEOPLE THAT XX OR YY PLAYER HAS JUST SCORED A GOAL OR BEEN SENT-OFF ETC AS THERE ARE THREADS IN THE GENERAL SPORTS FORUM FOR THINGS LIKE THAT SO IF YOUR POST TELLING US THAT SIMON COX OR LUKE MOORE HAS JUST SCORED IS NOT IN THIS THREAD TRY THE OTHER FORUMS BEFORE MOANING AND PLAYING YOUR FACE TO US AS YOU MAY END UP LOOKING A BIT OF AN backside  ;)

There will be a seperate thread for players out on loan as there are still OUR players until we release them or sell them etc.

Just another reminder, if you wish to substitute the players name for Tyler Roberts it still applies to keep ex players scoring for other threads.

Apologies in advance for the pedantry,

but, I noted this phrase in the original post

YOU MAY END UP LOOKING A BIT OF AN backside !

may I ask you to be a tad more explicit as to just which bit please, a chocolate starfish aka sherriffs badge? or a Buttock, or indeed a gooch ? I do worry somewhat about such things!

Thanks in advance for the clarification.

most of you will have seen this already as its in one of your local papers - but a great read - a 'where are they now?' of various long forgotten squad players from a decade ago - hope the link works
