So the reason for Wolves poor form isn't that they're not actually a European contender, its because the current team are upset they're about to be replaced by superstars in January.

FOSUN have invested a lot to Wolves, they had some real coups at Championship level and clearly had a lot of money injected. But the idea they're trying to make them a premier league force just doesn't stack up. Wolves signings are still largely Mendes clients - squad and fringe players from Portugal, Monaco, and Atletico (with the exception of Patricio, although he's not that good either). Decent players for sure can be got this way but the idea they're going to be getting superstars just has no basis, but they'll likely continue getting good investment.

Jiminez will be the litmus test for how much they're actually controlled by Mendes, if they actually go through with paying £35m for him after his loan then they're just at his mercy, otherwise I can believe its set up as a mutually beneficial thing.

The wolves squad was never going to get near the top 8 with Jimenez as their lead striker.

It has been good seeing some of the reactions across their fans the weekend, some calling for Nuno to be sacked, others thinking they've been found out in the league and will struggle.

Others think it's a blip and they will just reinforce the squad in January  ???

Traore just looks like a bigger more expensive version of Burke.

They crack me right up, messaging thinking that Albion fans are going to be impressed by things that we have done a number of times over the last 8 years ;D

I’ll admit I was caught up in the media bandwaggon at the start of the season, but after watching them and realising that they are your bang average premierleague team (like we were) who will finish between 8th and 17th for a few years and picking up the odd decent result against a big team I’ve lost a bit of interest now.

Definitely a case of ‘been there done that’ and got bored from our point of view

Fair play tonight they rode their luck and took their chances. First win for 2 months... they'll be right down there in May.

Deliberate elbow and very dangerous play from Boly.

Hopefully gets banned retrospectively.

Let’s be honest wolves aren’t going to get relegated. As much as it pains me to say it

not really the same thing though is it? When we played Man Utd we were bottom (I think) with about 6 games to go, Wolves were mid table with over half a season to go when they beat Chelsea.

Wolves looked very good in the second half. It was the only thing I could stream and was hoping to see them lose. But fair play, they played some nice football

We've been beating the top 6 on and off for the last 9 years. They're having a season in the ascendancy. Nothing more.

Sorry old friend, but they are to be admired. You can see exactly what they are trying to do, unlike the season we finished 8th where we added Lukaku to the organisation of a Hodgson side and blew teams away for the first four months before dying away completely after Christmas.

They are a force to be reckoned with, you'd be deluded not to admit it.

Who cares?

Wolves, Brighton, Huddersfield, Southampton, Everton  ............. who gives a fig?

Let Stoke the other Staffordshire team lie in their shadow.

They created the rivalry between us in the late 80's because they didn't have one and we were suckered in. Other than that is always been us and Villa.

I don't dance to the beat of their drum. Don't care whether they win the Champions League or fall down the leagues to League 2.

Yep. Fair play to them. Not going to be bitter and blinkered about it, they're doing bloody well.
