Just seen posted on Twitter... Shilen Patel follows a lot of WBA related accounts on there, including Carlos. @shilensays

Underwhelming if true, the original Athletic article though was about Everton and general football business. Hope it's not too accurate and was filler based on whispers.

Just watched highlights. His 'closing down' for their 2nd goal.

Sorry mate, are we keeping you up.

I honestly hope he never plays for us again after seeing that. I am so angry.

I would offer two points. A club in our financial situation cannot leave "money" on the bench, one of them would be unhappy sitting on the bench, we have to sell one of them to also partly solve a problem deciding who is the number one.

Palmer for me is currently the better keeper but in the eyes of the football world JG is worth more due to his obviou potential. If we do sell Palmer and the books would are looking more healthy this would mean we can dig our heels in on any offer incoming for JG as we wouldnt need to be lowballed.

it's a shame but probably the right decision in the situation. Also I wouldn't want to stop him getting a chance to be number one in a prem team.

Nah sorry, selling Dara we was told the same. If we sell Palmer for £3m is it an absolute disgrace. We are not digging our heels for anybody. If a bid comes in for JG, he will be gone too.

He is gone if Leeds come for him, which is likely.

I think the silence from the club on Twitter says it all.

He must be gone.

If the board are so keen to keep Bruce due to his experience of rebuilding squads then why don't they just offer him the Director of Football role. We could then bring in a young coach to work with him.

Alex Bruce then?  :D

It had gotten toxic though. Val had lost the fans, fell out with numerous players by all accounts and wasn't getting results. Dike was his last throw of the dice and unfortunately he got Injured.

Bruce just wasn't the answer.

>Val had lost the fans
The fans just have no patience.

>fell out with numerous players by all accounts
And why is that? Isn't that we want?, for him to tell these players some home truths? He would have bombed them all out in the summer. He was weeding them out. Meanwhile we are now moaning at Bruce for having favourites.

>wasn't getting results
To be fair, the fans were still booing when we was still in the top 2. The fans give the players the perfect way out getting rid of Val.

We can't afford the risk of another Val.

Livermore and Mowatt are not 'among the very worst in the Division'. I am honestly speechless how anyone can say that.

They was useless under Val as the ball would just fly over their heads.

Maybe not a wind-up, but people thinking he's very likely to go soon so are wanting to look like they're in the know. Not personally saying that's what is happening, but it's the kind of thing that some people do.

100%. There are some very sad people about.

The board decided one more game to try and turn things around, away from the Home Supporters. Real last chance saloon. Unless he wins every game from here to march, I can't see him playing this one out.

Of course...

I have noticed that your posts have taken traction on social media.

The board (ours) has seen a flurry of activity  :D

Don't know why, I know 100% he has spread fake news in the past. I would take with a pinch of salt.

Exactly, he was stropping and his form wasn't that great the pre-Jan. His form and value raised considerably after Jan.

You mean the journalist that appears to have had a fallout with wba hierarchy and since then seems quite happy to stir.....and a section of the fans tend to hang in his every word?

I agree. Definitely a stirrer and has some sort of grudge with the club. I have noticed this a lot.

The only time he hasn’t been with us we had to have a £40m overdraft didn’t we

Guess that is what happens when the 'shackles' come off...

Terrible news this.  From what I heard not long ago this Ken chap is seen as a bit of a joke behind the scenes and his grasp of English is not good at all.

Yes, he is literally going to be a duck in headlights. This is bad bad bad news, assuming he is taking the role full time.

Feel it's already done with Jokanovic, didn't Luke Dowling work with him at Watford? He might have even had a say in his recruitment.
