I picked up a couple of tickets for this one earlier today, I know you can pay on the day but was visiting a relative who lives just down the road from The Hawthorns, so thought I'd get tickets sorted for Forest (and Porto).

Very much looking forward to this, as Nottingham is a good location for an away day, not too far and regular trains, and a few decent pubs on the route or near the ground.

Looking at the 9:49 or 10:19 from New St.

I would imagine there will be a decent turnout from Albion supporters, with the match being played on a weekend.

Interesting choice of opposition by Derby, and it'll certainly be a money spinner in terms of attracting large numbers of away supporters.

It won't really have much impact on us lot, we'll just be passing through on the train.

I'm looking forward to seeing our new players though, and maybe we'll have a few more on board by then?

15 mins from the train station , come out ....turn straight right , walk up to Jurys Inn hotel then turn right again. You will see Hooters , Notts County ground then in the distance Forest.

It's about a 15 min walk from Nottingham station, also it's a straightforward fairly direct stroll down London Road.

Also the trains are quite regular from New Street, every half hour.

For anyone who uses the trains now and then for away days, and travel with one or more people / or as a family, it's worth having a look at getting a Family and Friends rail card.

I've used one of the cards and got a return to Nottingham from our local station, just a few stops down the line from The Hawthorns station, for myself and my teenage son and his mate for £23.45 which I thought was a decent price for 3 of us.

Just booked my trains and got my ticket. Wanted to do the Porto game but no cheap trains from Hull!

So where are people drinking before hand?

Are tickets avaliable yet? Or will I be able to pick these up on match day from Nottingham? I just don'twant to run the risk of them selling out that's all.

This is going to be a monumental urine up; can't wait!

We are starting early doors in market square and working our way to hooters with a night out to follow. Hopefully it will be an albion takeover.

Even on a Friday night last year we took quite a few , with the new signings and good weather i expect a lot to go this time . I wouldn't risk it , their away end isn't that big and i wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't all opened.
Better safe than sorry.
