It's all died down, if this doesn't actually happen, we'll look like right bloody knobs. How much do we have?

It was a bad idea before, it is even worse now.

With this and our fans arrogantly expecting to turn up and steamroller villa, wigan, blackburn and qpr without resistance I'm not sure I like where we are heading.

Reality check and a bit of focus required urgently.
I only go for the beer.

them being relegated is enough.

How about keeping the Banner idea and just change the message and location or maybe just another banner for Hodgson?

Just a thought as I know some have donated to this?

I know there is a no fly zone over the Hawthorns so we could just have the banner.

Where's DJ when you need him?  ;)

thank god we didnt win the league or fa cup this year or we might not be able to emulate it next year..... the dingles can, do and will turn the knife into us, at every oppertunity, whether this banner happens or not - they're just not given that many oppertunities, thank god! - most of you saying it should be stopped will not have paid towards it, fine but Im still for enjoying the moment.

I think the banner should fly by the Hawthorns at the final game. 'GOOD LUCK ROY' or 'THANKS ROY'.
I'd like to apologise for my spelling and grammar. I post from my phone.

Jesus Christ.

This was a cracking idea before, and it still is now. Who cares if it is tempting fate; Wolves have been shocking this season and it is only a bit of fun.

If you don't like it, don't donate.

I know right!

I wish I knew earlier about it coming back to bite us because I was really laying it on them at the custard bowl in February. I should have stood there in silence in retrospect so not to tempt fate.

I thought it was hilarious to start with, but I think a thank you to Roy would be a much better representation of our fans. Has anyone got any idea how much cash we've got? Whoever's organising this needs to speak up a bit more!

We can show our appreciation to Roy at our remaining games. I don't know about everyone else who's donated to the banner, but I want my tenner to go towards the original plan.

I can see both points on the Wolves matter. It has entered now a slightly sad and possibly concerning time looking into next season knowing we are without a manager who we are confident in avoiding relegation relatively comfortably, plus next season looked difficult already with some strong teams coming up from the championship.

On the other hand i recall the Wolves players holding a banner up saying 'Bye Bye Baggies' when they won the playoffs i believe as obviously we were relegated so they probably do deserve something back. If people have payed for it then its solely their option.

I do believe the Hodgson idea would be a fitting tribute alongside of course the generous reception i expect we will give him for his final two games.

Clearly won't happen anyway... No updates on here, doubt the money has been anywhere near raised...

Could be wrong though  :P

Surely with the game coming up in 3 days time a banner and the wording of it would have been pretty much sorted and it would be too late to change things now.

Maybe it has all gone quiet so the organisers could spring a slight element of surprise.

Anyway we can hold a vote?

'Thank you Roy' - The Hawthorns

or

'Boing Boing' - The Custard Bowl

If we do it for Roy, we should let some of the media know about it so it is well known he has our complete faith and support and that he will always have a place in our hearts.

I would like to know what is happening as I contributed £20 towards a banner being flown over the custard bowl. Can someone update us please?

No. We can do the "thank you Roy" stuff at the game. I put a tenner in to mock the Dingles.

I'll donate if I can fly the plane into The Sun HQ

Don't really mind what it says on the banner
