I watched the second half on stream. Good game, could've gone either way. Reading are pooh up front. Adarabioyo did his best to gift them a goal three or four times.

Better 2nd half, both sides have some good chances.
Field and Townsend did well.
HRK and Murphy were poor. There isn't too much difference between Murphy and Kyle Edwards in my opinion.

Second half was decent. We hit the woodwork three times was it? Decent enough.

With only two days rest since the last game it made sense to rest players given we're going to finish 4th or 5th. We can be competitive against Villa with our best eleven. Certainly don't want to be relying on the likes of HRK to be starting come the time though. Two goals since September for him now which when you consider how free scoring Rodriguez Gayle and Barnes have all been is appalling.

Look deadly going forward at times and an absolute joke at the back. Dawson & Tosin awful as was Murphy & Robson Kanu. Rodriguez needs to be played up top or not at all ineffective out on the wing. We looked far more dangerous when Gayle and Phillips came on, Harper so unlucky with his shot but in saying that Reading had a stonewall penalty not given and again looked dangerous.

Hopefully Villa don’t pick up 3 points against Leeds and we beat Rotherham to secure 4th be criminal to let them finish above us.

So Villa 2 pts behind.  Are we going to mess around next week too against a woeful Rotherham?

Either team could have won it. We upped the tempo second half, but if Reading's forwards were in any way clinical, they would have taken a couple of their chances.

It seemed like a pre season friendly. We are Sleep walking in to the play offs and on recent showings the smart money is on villa.

Was absolutely dire until he brought the proper players on. Then we should have won it late on.

Let's hope we don't need to rely on the likes of Tosin, Townsend, Field, Murphy and Kanu in the play offs. These back up players are very poor.

Team selection was a joke today and we were lucky to get away with point as they should have had a penalty. Only positive is that we are guaranteed to be in play offs, momentum has gone out the window with performance and result.

Why? A draw keeps us ticking over, we didn’t lose in galling fashion.

Poor team selection especially when there was 3rd place to play for(a chance to avoid the Vile) and it looks even worse with Leeds losing at the moment.

Lots of ifs and buts, but if we won today, Leeds are losing 2-0, villa could turn the
Over and then we’d have a legitimate chance in 3rd

We looked very dangerous in last 15 minutes with Philips, Gayle and JayRod going for it, but the other side of the coin is that Reading had some really easy chances in front of goal. Better more clinical strikers would have converted at least one of those.

I think we've got away with this a few times this season, Blues away is the first that springs to mind

Think you may be doing Edwards a disservice there.

Sold out last week.
https://www.wba.co.uk/news/2019/april/reading-trip-sold-out/
Strangely for a 'sell out' a fair few empty seats in the away section today particularly down the front. My guess is people building up their points/away games before the play offs tickets hit the ticket office but with no intention of actually attending the game

It's a rubbish away day to be honest. No pubs and a stadium in the middle of nowhere.

Had a great time pre-match personally. sunny day in the fanzone drinking beer, watching the early game!

Totally agree Jacko. I felt cheated by the team he selected today. We paid good money for tickets and travel yet as soon as I saw the selection I knew we would get the kind of display that we saw. Only the last 5 minutes were interesting, with the 3 or 4 good efforts almost winning game for us. Why rest so many players?

Yes have to agree. I'm not a great one for Fanzones personally (though totally acknowledge they definately do have a place on a matchday and it's more a personal thing) but yeah, have to say sitting in the sunshine having a few pre-match Heinekins did go down a treat.

Agree with previous comments though about being in the middle of nowhere and if had been tipping it down it would have been a different story.

Really enjoyed the day though. 8)
