It hinders oppositions' game play because they don't know where the strikes will come from, and how to mark players.

Are you suggesting that he shouldn't come back into the team because you shouldn't change a winning team, or because he doesn't deserve to be in the team? If so, I think you are wrong and so will most fans I suggest. If you aren't suggesting that, sorry I've missed your point.

To be honest, I think our best, most balanced team includes one of Rodriguez or Gayle, not both. But the goals they've scored, you can't really drop either, so we end up with an unbalanced team.

Totally agree with this, IF we go up and the Rondon swap goes ahead we will get found out playing both in their current roles.

If had not of dived we would be 1 point worse off.

Seems worthwhile now.  ;)

Yep, ultimately it paid off and was worth the two match ban. Morally it may be wrong but morals don't get you results. Well done Dwight.

It’ll be interesting to see what Moore does on Saturday and beyond, especially with Phillips and soon-to-be Morrison coming back into the fold and several players capable of being used in a variety of positions.

For Saturday I’d imagine Barry, Livermore and Rodriguez are dead certs (from Moore’s point of view) and around them in a 4-3-3 it could be any from Gayle, Phillips, Murphy, Harper, Johansen, HRK (if fit). I think Field and Montero are likely to make way.

Will be very interesting to see how he lines up, we’ve got more attacking options fit and ready than at any point in the season so far.

Dwight is without doubt a key player for us. However, I'd be happy for him to start this match on the bench and come on at half time. Sheff will no doubt have planned for him to start, so this would ultimately corrupt their plans.

We have plenty of fire power and it's superb that goals are coming from elsewhere on the pitch and we're not just relying on the front 2 or 3 to get our goals.

I suppose on the flip side he's well rested and raring to go.

I'm sure these are the headaches DM loves!

If one trait characterises DM it is loyalty, I don't think Dwight will figure unless we are chasing the game.

Personally I hope that you are right and he starts in the middle, but I doubt it.

Jay Rod will start in the middle and rightly so.

100%

Jay is better at doing that role  for the team than Gayle is.

What Rodriguez does when he drops into the pocket, is allow Dwight to run in behind into the space, I have mentioned it before, Gayle's goals per minute is better from the wide position that is is centrally.

The plan I imagine is, Jay to drop in the hole, Dwight to run on, Murphy delivers a cross for Gayle, Rodriguez picks up any of the scraps.

I think Gayle might start on the bench, unleash him second half.

We have no idea whether this is the case as Gayle has never played up front in this system, what we do know is Rodriguez is poor on the left (in the PL).

Not so sure

The players have done really well without him
I can see why he keeps him on the bench

If we need a goal throwing Gayle and Phillips on is some cards to hold ?

I would seriously question anyone who thinks Montero should start ahead of Dwight Gayle!

;D Natural goalscorer...has to start with JRod....with Phillips,Murphy and Harper supplying the "bullets". Field or Barry "holding and shielding back 4.
Team picks itself...with plenty of good backup.Happy days :D
