I nearly started crying that window when the sky prat said lukuka was coming back and me running around singing it's alright baby's coming back and then we signed anichebe instead. Typical Albion from the highest high to the lowest low within the space of a couple of hours.
Quote from the Matt Wilson article:Sporting had initially wanted an obligation to buy Pereira for £9million included in the deal, which Albion were unwilling to agree too. It's believed that obligation is now dependent on Albion winning promotion.Seems that we did the right thing in holding out for more sensible terms. Excited to see what he can do.
I hope this isn't true, as £9m is a lot and promotion alone shouldn't be the only trigger.
I'm hoping the obligation to buy depends on appearances to trigger as well but who knows. Hopefully we'll be thinking the £9m is a steal.
Looks to be done. 1 year deal, 1m euro loan fee. 10m euro's to buy if we get promoted or he makes a certain number of appearances during the season.
Getting concerned now re this signing. I'd have expected some sort of news by now but gone deathly silent, no news of talks, medical, player travelling, nothing.Have a feeling this isn't going to happen.
Where you looking?? Landed at Heathrow last night and had medical down London this morning, all done and dusted (depending on what source you read)
Yet Austin had medical more recently and seemingly done ....... 99%. Yesterday Austin wasn't even mentioned. Why nothing since on Perreira?
I likewise hope that no news is good news. Of all the signings and potential signings his is the one that excites me most.
Did I read somewhere that he is in London to finalise the contract? Can you imagine if he thinks that is where West Bromwich is and turns up to our place and thinks *Crikey!* Not sure what the brazillian word for Crikey is - sorry.
Can this signing be sorted after the transfer window has closed, due to being a loan move?
