Slaven, whatever the pros and cons, I think still had the support and loyalty of the players. Yes, they need to be professional and all that, but Allardyce has to persuade them that he is a better option and get them really really motivated if he is to have any chance of keeping us up, and I think he will struggle. Early indications are that his approach is going to be more hard man (Pulis) than wise man (Roy), and it's a dangerous strategy. Morale is so important.
