They've brought me great delight this morning. My initial reaction to hearing they had a bid accepted for Dempsey was "you lucky swinebags, they've done it again", but to hear that Dempsey doesn't want to go to them was priceless. Instead, they've managed to sign Jordan Bowery!
Yeah I was thinking same thing! Personally I really rate Dempsey and I thought those damn Vile scum pulled a goal scorer out of the hat last minute! But to hear he does not want to go to Villa just gave me a nice little laugh! Ohh how the "mighty" have fallen! I thought they were such a great, big club any player would feel privileged for the oppirtunity to play for them, NOT!!! Got to admit I'm quite enjoying this!!

What would make the day even more sweet is if they have left it too late to sign this guy from Belgium.

Villa not done enough this window. Would be worried me. Needed some experience to blend with their youth and should offloaded some expensive rubbish Ireland and Nzogbia

I pray...pray...that Dempsey doesn't resort to them now that his Liverpool move is kaput.

Cant see anything other than struggle. The fans will turn and should they get a rash of injuries????

Lambert trying to do what he did at Norwich by signing league 1 players, might work or it could badly wrong.

Yeah, looks like Lambert is setting up a variation of the Tony Pulis and Sam Allardyce school of football. Lots of running and hustling and then lump it up to the big guy up top. Wonder what the fans will say about that.

Can't see them picking up many points... Villa too I genuinely think they are almost certain to go down... Fingers crossed...

Nowhere near enough for them. If I was a Villa fan I would be furious at how this transfer window has gone, they were crying out for more quality and experience and instead they sign mostly inexperienced lower league players. God bless Randy Lerner and his transfer policy.

One player in with any ounce of quality to aid a load of youngsters who are in a relegation battle. Seriously not the way to go, personally, I'm loving it, but if you were a seal, you should be crying your eyes out. Fantastic.

Nah, they were telling him all about winning the European Cup, and Benteke naturally assumed they must be talking about something relevant to him.
