Holmgren said Lerner's interests had changed during the years and the owner had told him a while back that while he loved the team, he would consider selling if a reliable buyer came along. "All the stars aligned in the last few months," Holmgren said.

The only thing I remember the Browns for is when one of my hero's John Elway took the Denver Broncos from their own goal line all the way down the field for a points equalising touchdown in the last 5 minutes of a playoff game against The Browns in the 80's. A game famous for what was known as "The Drive" ! Denver went on to win the game in overtime with a fieldgoal. I can remember watching it live on channel 5 back in the day.

Elway was fantastic that day......a legend.
