Fairly good view from a bank outside the ground. Grounds man told me where to go. Beach, beers, football. Wife driving home. Happy man

Just had a quick search. I found 16 post on the forum mentioning Balogun. 12 were by you, 1 in reply to you and 3 by 'baggies'. Are you on commission?Terribly cynical of you to stalk me.
(PS - sorry to stalk you, but I just kept seeing his name and was sure it was the same poster)
What I find quite alarming is that if we fail to sign Grant and taking into consideration the likelihood that our visit to the premier league is going to be short lived, the starting point of our championship team next summer will somehow be even weaker than the one that came up last season!
If Gallagher, Krov and Deeney/Gray return to their parent clubs after their loans and when a 37 year old Ivanovic's contract is up, the grand sum of our squad additions will be Cedric Kipre. Players like Austin and Grosicki will be out of contract, while the likes of Gibbs, HRK, Bartley, Hegazi, Livermore and Sawyers will all be either in their 30's or in Sawyers case, about to turn 30.
To have such limited squad evolution after getting into the premier league would be a real failure on the club's part. The whole point of any yo-yoing between divisions is that when you go down, you do so in a stronger positon to when you came up. Apart from the financials, our team will be weaker than the one that were playing games last season.
If we can't sign Grant, we must sign a different young striker or outfield player. We can't afford not to.
The extension to window is to 16th October it is purely between EFL and PL clubs. PL clubs can't trade between each other.
The Grant deal has to be wrapped up before then otherwise we lose the leverage of an alternative and the price becomes the price unless we are able to turn to an EFL alternative. There are some but they are in many instances bad and in some cases bad and expensive.
I absolutely do not trust Nixon who is more than capable of publishing something completely fabricated so a little bit of embellishment to spice up a tale e.g. a dramatic final offer from us when the deal might just as likely be done is no small stretch.
Percy who is on the other hand generally reliable and not prone to making stuff up says we are interested in Slimani I tend to take that seriously. I am still not keen and as an alternative to Grant makes no kind of sense.
I’d be happy with Grant.
Looked tidy when Huddersfield were in the prem and scored goals last season in their struggling team.
If we can get him in and another similiar type of player, it gives our front lines some fluidity to move about in the games.
Grants a cracking player. Scored 19 goals in a awful Huddersfield side last season and when he joined them in the January they were in the premier league he scored 4 goals in 12 in the premier league. He is also in the final year of his contract if I've read correctly. I'd go in with 8 million but break it up into installments and add ons as we have with Eze.I would be very happy if we could get these two and blow the budget. We would still be in need of CM CB and LB through loans. Possible. Robinson in Burke out and Kroc loan to buy. Zohore has to go as does Gibbs
Personally, I think that the club will want to demonstrate magnanimity on this. How are we now supposed to maximize it?
I would imagine the club can ask for a copy of the medical report from Palace & then send NF for a second opinion from our own medical staff, or an independent assessor.
If, as alleged, Palace were prepared to pay up to £11 million for NF, he does have a value, & it would be in both the club's & the player's interests to maximise that.
