Well, CC being a former goalkeeper should put us in good stead to have a better replacement. Of course, times are tight, so does he fancy doing it himself  ;D

I'm just glad he's gone, didn't he play a part in championing Button over Palmer and recommending a new deal.

Can imagine he had an input but ultimately the buck stopped with 'Easy on the Salad Love'  ;) .

For what it's worth, here's the link. Unless 82 has some inside info, it's only a rumour at the minute, based on him being sacked by Leeds and having worked with CC previously.

Thanks Tim.

Weirdly enough, the club posted pics of Gary Walsh and the Gk'ers on Twitter today which led to WBA TWITTER calling Nixon a fraud etc and then within an hour or 2 of posting them the club had removed all the pictures of Gary Walsh.

I would imagine Walsh was on a lot of money and the club are cutting back and CC is getting one of his men in. So its looks like a good change

Let see what happens.

Shows how cluless/disconnected our twitter is then. Aside from the odd meme, there's not much point of having a club twitter anyway - it's all just PR waffle.

I wonder if this guy went because of Button.

I find it's best not to attach any expectation of competency to most  staff employed by Lai, regardless of position.

I'm sensing an increase in your levels of negativity for our club and the season ahead Gaz'. Make yourself a warm beverage of your choice, put your feet up, relax and dunk a Viscount biscuit or two or three or........

Officially left the club -

https://www.wba.co.uk/news/gary-walsh-departs-goalkeeping-coach

West Bromwich Albion can confirm Gary Walsh has today departed his role as Goalkeeping Coach at The Hawthorns.

The 55-year-old former Manchester United stopper joined the Baggies in January 2019 and worked alongside a host of No.1s, with Alex Palmer and Josh Griffiths earning first-team debuts during his tenure, while Sam Johnstone earned a regular place in the England squad.

Walsh is a popular member of the Baggies backroom staff and leaves with the best wishes of all at the club.

Albion will announce the appointment of a new Goalkeeping Coach in due course.

Marcos Abad has been tipped to arrive at #wba. Has just left Leeds after six years and worked with Corberan during that time. Among his roles at Leeds included translating in pressers for Marcelo Bielsa. #wba
