Reading do look very poor. I had tipped them to go down and they look well on course to do so.

Spurs won 3-1 in the end. Rather comfortable. Reading looked very average and Spurs could well and truly had four or five. I do expect them to be much better next week, although, I would feel a wee bit disappointed if we couldn't take all three points given how poor they were today.

Fantastic game of football. On reflection the deserved result to. Everton played some terrific stuff in that first half and likewise in the second half, both sides knocked it around well. Cracking advert for Premier League football.

Stunning game of football, really glad I decided to get some beers, rubbish food and watch that instead of a movie!

I don't think any team can contain Everton like the Albion did this season.....

There's got to be a good argument that our result against them shows that we could just be top 10 this year and test a lot of teams at the hawthorns

That's optimistic. If Reid is fit for the whole season then maybe; our D is too disjointed when Jones is at rb. Also we cannot have no shows such as the one against Fulham for us to be top 8.

yeah i wouldnt get carried away, this is the albion we are talking about here. im sorry but everton were robbed by 2 very poor decisions. fellaini was clearly onside and then the ball crossed the line(may have been a little hard to see for the lino), so they on merit shouldve won, but still credit to newcastle for ploughing on to find an equaliser. they will feel very hard done by.

Thats the whole point that it makes our win more impressive...

everton dominating swansea at the liberty, who so far have looked a poor home team outfit this game. the first goal was controversial, may have touched fellainis arm as he headed the ball onwards to big vic, the second was in no doubt though. mirallas well onside and he had the beating of vorm when the ball came back off the crossbar. makes our win over them feel special when swansea are succumbing to them at their fortress  :D

Looks like Swansea are picking up a lot of yellows along with the red.

Im not watching the game - is it just a case of frustration? Or are they actively kicking lumps out of Everton?

Was mostly just frustration, they weren't like Stoke or anything, albeit I do think even frustration needs to be controlled...look at Odemwingie.

Tough start for Rodgers revolution. He will get time but the early signs are that he will be no more successful than any other manager in the last 20 years.

It does not look like they will be mounting a challenge on the champions league this season either.

3 goals in 5 games is the real stat they need to worry about. They have very few goals in the team without Gerrard.

obviously liverpool fans will be complaining about the ref after that game. for me shelveys red was touch and go, though his positioning compared to evans made it seem like he was the more likely to get red carded. rvp though shouldve gone i feel after that poor tackle, and as for the penalties, i dont think either the suarez or evra incidents were worthy of penalties; evra was on his way down and suarez made a meal of it.

Never a Penalty for me that. Valencia fell over the ball. But I agree Liverpool look very ordinary really and it is hard to see where the goals are coming from. Its one thing Rogers developing the total football concept over time with a team in the lower division its entirely another trying to institute it in the cauldron of the PL. I also think this is the same with Lambert at Villa. Hard to bring in young hungry but average footballers in the PL then expect them to produce.

QPR are looking very impressive against Tottenham. They are currently winning 1-0. Looks like it's clicking into place for them just in time to play us.

Had a cracking day so far, put £10 on United when they were 1-0 down at 9/2 and had £2 on Lescott first goal at 25/1.... Just need Spurs to turn it around now!

They still played well. Tottenham were rather fortunate. The own goal was ridiculous.

qpr will be tough, make no mistake. theyll throw everything at us and we'll need to be at our best to combat it. but im not fussed on that atm, two big games over the next week. a chance to progress in the cup, followed by a derby at our lovely neighbours. cant wait  :D
