This team reminds me of a very old joke....
A young man is about to get married, but his family know that he is a bit "short" in a certain appendage, so his male family offer to have a bit taken away and transplanted for him.
After the honeymoon, they asked him how things went.
He said it was fantastic, but, did you have to put grandad's bit in the middle?

Sorry  :o :P

O' Shea looks too small to handle Joelinton but he's still a kid really. Can see why Slav prefers him NOT at CB.

Mine kept buffering every so often then went off completely for about 7 mins. Was ok for the last 5 mins of the half though. Although I’d probably rather it stayed off  ::)

Which is fine if Edwards tracks the winger.

Not just the goal, Gibbs was all over the place all half. If Townsend is watching this he’ll be delighted. Nailed on to keep his shirt for the foreseeable future.

May as well bring Tulloch on.

We’re heading out so we may as well give him 45 mins to impress.

Nothing else on the bench..

Not sure whether to laugh or cry at what the FA Cup has become in 2020.

In all honesty at this stage I don't know why half the teams even bothering opting in to entering it.

Really do have to feel for the fans who are paying £10-£15 each round for what is quickly becoming a glorified reserve team competition

Goodbye Barry and Brunt both embarrassing

Put Krovinovic on and even Peltier as these 2 plodders can’t get near to the game and our selling us down the river

One goal please and these will crumble

Agree, give Tulloch 45 mins.

Austins not a lone striker, could bring Zohore on and go 4-4-2.

Take off Barry who is completely gone. Madness to resign him. If you want his experience in the locker room we should have given him a coaching role.

I'd agree if it wasn't for the fact that our problem is that Newcastle can just run straight through the middle and past Brunt and Barry.  Gibbs and Furlong have to tuck in else it'll be even more of a slaughter.

Our line-up tells me that the club isn’t interested in the FA Cup only promotion.

Don’t blame Slav for making wholesale changes for tonight, it’s about the league.

I disagree, he does have some of this on him.

Last season, Moore made quite a few changes for the league cup games. We got through 2 rounds using squad players and then we faced Palace in the third round. Moore had every right to make changes again, but in making those changes, you should still put put a team, in a system that gives them some chance of challenging. Moore decided to line up with 4 central midfirlders with no width, anf Mozza and Hoolahan playing as immitstion strikers. We were thrashed, and it was on Moore.

Tonight, Bilic has made a load of changes (fine), but he has played 3 defensive midfielders and then a lone striker in Austin who hasn't really shone as a lone striker even when he has Pereira behind him. Sure enough, we are playing long balls to their defenders feet with the midfield having no impact.

If you are going to make 9 changes, atleast give it balance.

Oh, and p*** off Fletcher - don't give me that balls about the fand being flat and the pkayers feeding off that because it's "like the league matters more to us". Bilic making 9 changes does that!!!

Granted we have a dads army in front of the back four, not just Gibbs, whole team has been horribly exposed. Problem is I don’t think Gibbs, Barry or Brunt can defend for toffee.

Well that was absolutely appalling. Ball played straight through midfield and our lot stand off it. Need to get brunt and Barry off now as both culpable.
