Dan Roan just tweeted this

Premier League £50m bail-out (£20m grant/ £30m loans) about to be rejected by the EFL. Just spoke to a club chief incensed by the strings attached to the package.
“They want control over fixture scheduling. It’s derisory & outrageous.” They’ll want Govt to get tougher with PL.

This is all fine and dandy it seems everyone in football knows exactly what they don't want but apart from more money nobody can agree on what they do want.

Meanwhile I found this

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54554187.

There are 3 remarkable points to note.

1. Peter Risdale believes anything up to 6 Championship clubs could go to the wall by Christmas and if that is the case the Championship the position in League 1 and 2 is likely to be no better

2. Trevor Hemming an owner often lambasted by a section of the PNE support for his lack of ambition is underwriting the club's mounting losses.

3. But the most remarkable thing is Risdale is still involved in the game after leaving a trail of financial chaos in his wake at virtually every club he has been associated with and being barred as a director for 8 years following the collapse of his company that provided advice to football clubs. Question how the hell does something that is a consultancy end up with £400k of debt? It's proprietor taking out £347k of funds for personal use might have something to do with it.

That in a nutshell is everything that is wrong. I am not sure how you fix it but keeping absolute chancers like Risdale away from the petty cash might not be a bad place to start.

Sunderland have parted company with manager Phil Parkinson. (Source:@SunderlandAFC)

They have had 20 managers since they fired Peter Reid in 2003

Only 2 have survived for more than 100 games Mick McCarthy and Roy Kean who was manager for exactly 100 games.

Only 1 Sam Allardyce resigned to go to another job.

I don't know maybe firing the manager is not the key to sucess.

Sunderland are apparently in the process of being taken over by a 22 year old heir to a multi billion fortune.

Chelsea have had 14 managers in the same time and won 15 major trophies.

The key to success is money (as if we didn't know)

Sunderland have had money in that time, they had quite of lot off Ellis Short tbh. They just used it poorly. They bought a mismatched, unbalanced squad, and had to pay players over the odds to convince them to go there. I think in this instance, it's the way it was used.

I wish they were still doing Sunderland 'til I Die, because the last couple of seasons would have been worth a watch.

One time rumour mill favourite Marcus Maddison looks like his time is up at Charlton. Lee Bowyer has laid into him post game last night, questioning if he was faking injury.

Richard Cawley covers Charlton and his twitter account has the full quotes but this is the main one. Not the first time he has criticised Maddison either.

Yeah, I read Bowyer's comments on Maddison's full debut earlier. They weren't particularly flattering.

Thanks mate - I did have a browse by typing Bowyer's name into the news function of Google but nothing returned.

Very rare to see a manager publicly call out his players like that !

Wimbledon are considering the Chelsea women’s Manager as their next Manager. Emma Hayes.

Surely they won’t!

Somebody will eventually.

It don’t think it will go particularly well when they do.

It will probably be a left wing club like Forest Green/Brighton.

I have pot plants that would be better coaches than Alan Pardew in a straight choice between him and Emma Hayes I would take Emma Hayes.

What do those being disparaging about the idea of a woman managing a men's football team feel about the plethora of instances that exist of men managing women's football teams?

Are your views based on sociological reasons or is it down to misogyny? Also, what does political ideology have to do with it?

Crawley are playing with fire with the Mark ‘TOWIE’ Wright documentary signing, bet he’s walking round giving it Billy Big Balls even after getting subbed at half time.

I think if she is good enough then why shouldn’t she be considered.

Whether it works and she manages to get players behind her is another thing, but I see no reason why a woman couldn’t coach and manage a team as well as a man. At worst she can only be bad...like a ton of male managers are
