We should go to this one with a bit of confidence after a couple of great wins and still unbeaten after 10 games.

It is a short turnaround though so there is some concern about some players being a bit tired.

At worse I would take a point as Stoke aren't doing too bad sitting in 4th place at the moment.

will be happy here with a point. 2-2. Clucas, Allen and Sawyers wont be playing which is helpfull. a comment fron the oatcake on sawyers, sounds familiar

He’s starting to infuriate me with his careless sloppy passing!

Allen has a chance of being back for Friday their gaffer said the other day. Clucas and Sawyers out for sure. Saw the comments on The Oatcake about him " careless, sloppy" many are glad he's suspended as they have a better chance without him playing they feel  ;D

Amazing that Clucas has already managed to get to 5 bookings. He came on as a sub last night and picked up his 5th booking to leave him suspended in the 92nd minute. Purely coincidentally after Friday nobody plays again for two weeks. The cynic in me would suggest that Clucas is currently on an airplane for some winter sun. Happens all the time in football.

Stoke fans are going mad about it. His manager doesnt sound too happy either.

In Allen and Powell they have a central midfield to rival ours - will be an interesting one.
Expect manager O'Neill to play defensive and look for counterattacks; it's his normal tactic.

Thompson, Vrancic, Allen and Powell are a useful midfield, the latter in particular is one of the best playmaker in the division. Livermore will have his work cut out containing him and he is probably the main danger.

Michael O'Neill is good manager who wants his sides to play good football. Hopefully that will be their downfall vs us.

Massive shame if Sawyers can’t play, could you imagine how awful he would look as we press him.

I think we may see a bit more long ball in this one. As you say, they have a useful midfield so don't think we'll be going toe to toe, the long ball into the channels will bypass their midfield and frustrate their CH's whilst allowing us room in behind.

Don't mind, provided it's measured and we manage it properly and not just hoof it aimlessly.

I think a draw is the favourite.

Id be happy with a draw here, but think we can go here and get the win.

Stoke will come with their own dangers, not as much as they used to have though.

I would expect this game to be a tougher one.  Cardiff were dreadful.  Stoke will be well organised and set up.  I think we have enough in the tank to get through this one.  I think 2-1 to us with a good entertaining game.  Stoke equally will not play for a draw at home.

Correct, Derby and Preston fans have labelled Stoke as the best team in the division after recently playing both us and them, they have been more impressed with the Potters. This is a very difficult game against one of our main rivals for promotion. It's certainly not going to be another 4-0 win for us. A draw would not be a bad result but obviously we need to look to win it, if we can.
