Did Tamika Mkandawire ever play for us?

Always wanted to say that name on here  ;D

Not sure but I once had a very surreal conversation relating to Tam' though, and strangely enough it was in 'Tam'worth. I'd sought legal advice following a disagreement with Her Majesty's 'Finest' some years back (2010) following an altercation in 2009.

Anyway, the gentleman who was kind enough to offer free legal advice was a Hereford Utd supporter, and we ended up having a talk about Mr .M whom he'd rated. As an aside we also had a good chat about John Trewick who had managed Hereford United too.

Small old world. Think Tamika eventually went onto play for Tampa Bay Rowdies.

Another blast from the past is Brian Quailey.

Bartosz Ślusarski - made his only Albion appearance on 20 October 2007, coming on as a late substitute in a 3–2 defeat against Colchester

Tininho - He made his club debut on 11 August in a 1–2 defeat at Burnley, on the opening day of the season and never played again.

Crikey, I was there for both of these  ;D .

Not sure if he’s been mentioned but Andy Slorey, I remember being really excited when he signed on loan, a full Dutch international and he just vanished. I think I saw him come on as sub once at Blackpool away and that’s all I remember of him!

Remember some action against Watford which more or less confirmed promotion. He either scored or provided a cushioned header for Brunt to score.

The bigger crime that season was Frank Nouble and Rueben Reid

Neither good enough for where we were going. Think both are now in league two somewhere.

Sadly, Daniel Sturridge must be one of the most obscure Albion players, as things are.

Simeon Hodson

I used to quite like him. I was always fascinated by the fact his kit was sponsored every season by 'The Rainbow Paddock Chocolate Fudgecake Eaters'. They were always listed in the programme next to Simeon's name. Who were those individuals? Are they still around? Does anyone on here either remember them, know of them or are them?!

Most obscure player for the Albion imo was Max Murray a Scot from Glasgow Rangers in 1962, he was that obscure I thought we had purchased a comedian of a similar name, but no this guy had made 103 appearances for Rangers and scored 80 goals. We could have found a little gem here, I thought.
When he made his long awaited debut, playing centre forward against I don't know who, he was truly obscure and would have done better treading the boards in Old Tyme Music Halls. He returned to the land of the kilt after making 3 appearances scoring 0 goals.

Remember a local lad in the early 90's think his name was Bowen, maybe Shaun?
Sure he played against Peterborough, may have even scored?
stewart Bowen I think he was from Hill Top, i remember he scored v Fulham at ours.
Pretty sure he's a millionaire business man now.

What a great piece of trivia. Don't know the answers but hope someone can tell us. Would be surprised if no-one knows as I think it would be a first on this forum.

Anybody remember Michael Rodesthenous..... I think that’s how you spell it! He cane through the youth team (I think) and only played once maybe twice of that.

I remember him playing against us, tearing us apart at The Hawthorns for Barnsley on the opening game of the season one year in the 90's. He looked outstanding in that game. Didn't realise we had him at any stage.

He did actually sign for us. There was a picture of him with the ball/scarf. Then about two weeks later (without making any appearances) the Home Office rejected our work permit application. I think thats the story?

Saw him play a few times always thought he looked a decent player but he couldnt step up to league level

You're right, just had a quick search, he was registered with us during the 1999-2000 season without ever playing a game. He certainly looks like he did the rounds in the North/North-East after 2000!
