Good enough for Rangers but not for us - laughable

Hardly laughable.

Only have to look at Scott Sinclairs stats to know its not a very difficult league.

I think the fact no club in England has taken a punt of him tells more of a story.

I imagine he will get at least a years worth of football there, possibly even 2.

Could GMac have done a job for us, possibly, depends then upon what the costs are for a "possibility"

what are Rangers paying him, what length of contract have they given, unless we know the detail its madness to try to evaluate.

the road to the summit has dips, keep the faith when navigating those dips !!

Fantastic stuff, congratulations GMac  8) .
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.
If you don't know how to use them, they will never be enough.

;D Good to see GMac playing for N.Ireland. ......Still got it at his age but noticeably "slower"top top Pro.
And his MBE is well merited (if you like that sort of establishment recognition).

Roy Hodgson names Gareth McAuley as his greatest ever signing, that says it all.

What a great player he was for us and came on a free.

The only other defender that comes close to him, in terms of a quality free signing, was Paddy Mulligan

G-Mac was a fantastic servant. I remember being initially underwhelmed but was soon proved wrong. Quality, non-nonsense CB.

My favourite time as a Baggies fan was having GMac and Olsson at the back.  The two of them were absolutely fantastic and what a great understanding of eachothers game they had.  Two brilliant servants of the club.

It was certainly a signing at the time that left me scratching my head.  He was I believe 32 when we signed him from Ipswich.  I thought we were mad.  What a player though. Glory days with him and Olsen at the back.

Blimey I thought for a moment we had re-signed him to cover our CB shortage!

I'd still pick him ahead of Bartley.

I’d pick GMac ahead of our entire CB line-up combined!
A brilliant signing by whoever?
