West Brom a big value adder!?
« on: April 08, 2011, 05:07:33 PM »
Hi again,
I was just thinking, we bought Odemwingie for £1 mil
Mulumbu for £175,000 in 2009
And Dorrans for around £100,000

So how much would these three player put together be worth now!!?

pete 7-12
mulumbu 7-8
dorrans 6-9

All depends on who is bidding and how much they want ie if man city want mulumbu he then becomes worth 15m.
If youre going to get told off, get told off for doing something not for doing nothing..

PoD £7M (age/ injury record maybe a drawback)
Mulumbu £10M (age a positive)
Dorrans £4M (progress this season?)

£21M

I could be wrong, but I think we paid about 2.5 million for Pete.

I know it says 1 million on Wiki and I saw that figure quoted on the Liverpool forum the other day ;D, but I think we paid a bit more than that for him.

Mulumbu at the moment would draw the most out of them three IMO. He is young, consistent, doesn't really get injuries and is a rare commodity - a "defensive" midfielder who also scores a few goals! He is brilliant and I can see some big teams coming in for him, if not this summer than the next one.
GD hasn't quite had the season we all hoped but I still think he will be class. Next season will be a huge one for him, please God we will still be in the PL. I think Roy definitely likes him and he will be a 1st choice midfielder next year, and hopefully he can live up to expectations. If he does that, he's the kind of player who would be worth £8-£10m in today's market.

I wouldnt like to see dorrans leave for anything under ten million considering his age and talent, i also think mulumbu is an important player for us who we need to keep, odemwingie has been good and got a few goals this year but i wouldnt say no to a few million, we need an out and out striker next year who can get twenty goals a season and put games to bed.

Mulumbu is vastly underrated in the media I don't think anyone will come in with any sensible bids which we'll accept. He's accepted his new contract offer so I'm confident he'll stay in the Summer.

I'd accept offers of...
Dorrans - 8 million (obviously a great player but not used that much this season)
Odemwingie - 12 million (would be higher except for age)
Mulumbu - 15 million (crucial to our team)

I don't think they'll fetch that (exception of Dorrans) but anything lower and I'd be unhappy.
