Should've kept Maja, Grant or Johnson on for much longer, completely lose our goal threat taking those off. As we've got a cup game next we could've afforded them to stay on longer if we'll undoubtedly rest them next week.

Very poor management, the same subs that killed us previously do so again.

We have to stop throwing away points like this.

Swift and Wallace are busted. Never seen such a rapid decline in 2 players as theirs.

Least the players can have a break now from a congested period but boy is that 2 points dropped needlessly.

Change should have been Bartley for Styles , swift is much to lightweight rancid should have come on for johnson , As for Cole he does nothing should give one of the kids a chance

Bartley for Styles is a good call.  Stick Heggem LB and Bartley in the middle or play 5 at the back.  I like Styles but his weak point are deep crosses, he's not the tallest of players.

I agree. When are we going to take notice of these situations.

But I think the subs were needed as the boys were looking a bit tired?
Very disappointing, we just needed to get that second and game done.

Most, if not all, of these players won't be playing again until Stoke at home on 18th. Plenty of time to rest after this game.

Hard to score the 2nd when the best attackers have gone off.

Spot on. Today was the game where we didn't need to rest players unless they dropped.

In fairness, I thought Wallace probably our best player today. Certainly more effective than when he's been coming on as sub.

Wallace has been better in general terms but when it comes to deliver in the final third he's still poor for me.

Would probably start him against Bournemouth though!

Cole's pressing was very poor in the build up to their goal too considering he'd been on the pitch barely 10 minutes.

Starting line-up was good with the exception of Wallace who as Gaz says is ‘bust’ and needs moving on this month along with Swift, Diangana, Cole and possibly Bartley if Taylor can fill that place. Then build a better and more reliable bench.

Swansea didn't like our speed. This is where the young 'uns should have been brought on and not the sluggards. Too many backward thinkers as coaches.

Feels like a loss, especially after what i would call a decent away performance against one of the worse teams i've seen this season. At least it should hopefully kill off any lasting ideas of Brunt & co staying on as manager til the end of the year. 2nd sub today allowed them back into the game, Swift and Grady make us so vulnerable out of possession as they don't seem to be bothered about tracking runners include stopping crosses in that, cant be offloaded quick enough in my eyes, instead of continually persisting with them to hope they amazing find form out of nowhere, id much rather give chances to our youth, Swift especially shouldn't be anywhere near the team after his substitute performance against Preston off the bench which drew frustration from his teammates!

I'll take some comfort knowing Mulumby has signed his new contract and how well he's progressed this year.

Just like Oxford away that feels like a defeat, but to be fair it always does in those last minute circumstances.

However, our final pass was poor throughout the game and we really didn't test their GK.

An excellent set of Christmas and new year results just become average, but not terrible which they could have been given Corberan having left and the disruption caused by that.

I can't add anything that you all haven't said already.

Cuttingly disappointing and very amateurish towards the end.

There are a few of our players - we all know the ones - who simply don't deserve the shirt.

What feels like a loss today, was a completely unnecessary and naive result.

Must be incredibly disappointing for the likes of Grant and Maja to be taken off and sit and watch us chuck away three points they had worked hard for

Why do successive coaches not learn anything when the majority of normal fans can see the obvious, week in, week out? Galling to say the least.

It’s also another game that highlights how poor our squad is.

The climb down from Maja to Cole is enormous. I don’t actually recall Cole doing anything upon his arrival.

As for Swift - dearly me. Roll on the summer.

These are the kind of changes you hated Corberan making, no?

For me, they looked ok and the next game is a cup game in a week, they need to see the game out.

I don't know why but this one his irritated me far more than it usually would, so i should probably come away from the forum for an hour or so...i mean, i am at work so it's probably for the best  :D
I’m not sure why there are people on here that wait for me to post and try and turn everything in to “Corberan was great so there”?
What I said was we needed to make the changes because the team were looking tired, that’ll be because of the amount of fixtures around Chris5mas, Diakite has played more in the last week than he did when Corberan was here
They can’t be the same subs because Racic wasn’t brought on
They can’t be that same because Wallace started
They can’t be the same because dobin isn’t here

I don’t think Swansea are great, but I’d suggest that a draw here is a better result than draws at home to milwall/Cardiff and a draw away at Oxford.
Corberan had years of first team coaching experience when he left us, I don’t think he would have engineered a better result today than the inexperienced management team that were on the bench.

It’s subs for subs sake. I do understand taking Maja off but Grant will run all day. They get next Saturday off to recover.

Cole and Diangana is the opposite of what you need when trying to see out a slender lead.

The fact that they now have a break doesn’t stop them being tired on what was a very heavy pitch after a run of very fast matches.

There was definitely enough decent attacks throughout the game but the final pass just seemed a bit off …Im disappointed we didn’t win, but I get why they weren’t quite at it.

Certainly not a Diangana fan but thought he did ok when he came on
Not sure what other options they had available.
This was the sort of game you need a MAF or Roman bednar to hold up and bully their defence.

We were the better side for most of the game, so a little bit disappointing to lose a goal so late, but these things happen. Agree with the comments about Cole and Swift - both offered nothing for the time they were on the pitch. But (and I realise that this flies in the face of some of the comments above) I thought Wallace played very well overall. Yes, he's lost a bit of pace, but he showed  good positional awareness, helped out in defence, and was involved in a few of our better breaks, as well as generally working his socks off; no complaints from me today about his performance.

When we say rapid decline in Wallace and Swift, my view (may be controversial) is that neither player has delivered regularly in the almost 3 seasons they have been here. Massively disappointing signings, not just based on the here and now.
