He was outstanding. Need to get his contract sorted. With him and Mowatt we have two of the best central midfielders in the league.

They compliment each other well more importantly.

All 4 losses came when one of them isn't playing.

JM has always had a fantastic engine for this level but his footballs come along well this season too.

The easiest man of the match we've had all season, particularly without Mowatt.

What. A. Performance.

Great performance today. I was worried when Mowatt was out but JM and OD did very well together.

For all his energy and ball winning tackles, its just a pity his passing isn't better.

He would not be playing at this level if that was the case. However I'd always be putting two central midfielder alongside him that can pass and we didn't do that today or frequently enough this season.

Yes I want my midfielders to be able to pass the ball but the pairing of Mowatt and Racic offers no energy or protection but they are better passers of the ball
I think a midfield pairing of Molumby and Diakite offers more balance when we start with a front four

Its barely at that level. I'm not counting the nothing passes backwards and sidewards. He has improved but he still doesn't connect enough with the forwards or those running in behind.
And, can we have the luxury of having two central midfielder passers alongside him? Even if we did, can't think who they'd be.

Well that is the rub Mowatt and Swift yes but that means Molumby is doing a lot of the heavy lifting as regards the out of possession work. Diakatte and Mowatt all the passing ability is Mowatt. I think Racic plus Mowatt could work but I just think Racic is a busted flush at this stage.

In an ideal world I'd swap Racic for someone who is the player that many including myself thought he  might  be.

His passing is moderate but he made some very direct forward runs to connect with our forwards.  He didn't allow the likes of Hamer and Davies to settle.  Our team would have leaked if we had not fielded him.

I just hope he's got 2 more performances like that left in his legs for this week ! Such a short turnround between games it's asking a lot for him to keep that level of performance or anywhere near !!

And he was justified in ripping into Swift who literally just stood there instead of helping his team mates.

Just been announced he has signed a new deal until 2028.

Delighted with the news, i wasnt his biggest fan but this season he has improved so much and is key to how we play.
