What does Whitwell need to do to get a chance. It's not as if we have a stellar Midfield. Mowbray being anti youth

We were awful before Swift and Wallace came on tonight, as I have said on numerous occasions the squad is as bad as it’s been in over twenty years.

A Number of players aren't good enough or over the hill. The Squad is imbalanced and Mowbray doesn't know his best team

We now have a bloated squad

GK: Griffiths, Wildsmith

DL: Styles

DR: Furlong, Frambrotta

DC: Ajayi (injured), Bartley, Holgate, Heggem

Mid: Mowatt, Molumby, Diakite, Swift, Price, Bany, Whitwell,

Attack: Grant, Johnston, Diagana, Fellows, Wallace, Maja (Injured), Armstrong, Dike (injured), Cole, Lankshear

We shouldn’t complain about attacking options

Plenty of deadwood or never was in the squad

If somehow we go up, massive surgery needed in the squad.

26 players & lack of defensive options is mad.

Look at our start

9 Players out the 11 were here before Carlos arrived. Since that team was changed and CC's signings into the team its gone all stale and we have players who have padded the squad again. It looks disjointed. But having said that we should have been 1 up in the 1st half today but 2 goals in 5 at home is very poor, and no win in 6.

CC needs to answer this, football doesn't have goodwill forever and he needs to try something a bit different as a plan b

When is Harry Whitwell going to get a chance. PL2 outstanding players can't get onto the bench. Carlos is protecting him too much

Haha i get your point.

Feb 2017 we was close to the Europa League and they were close to League 1

It's just tragic

Sadly, we would not have spent the £150m they spent upon promotion, only for them to get 35 points and survive because Watford and Norwich were so horrendous and goalline technology happening not to work.

They are without doubt the luckiest side alive. That Gayle sending off remains ridiculous, and people forget that Grealish actually dived from no contact whatsoever from Gibbs for the penalty at Seal Park.

Sorry to be that guy but Sheffield United still had 75 mins to score in that game, Yes it was terrible use of the technology. Watford sacking Nigel Pearson for no real reason with 2 games to go was the problem. Plus Villa beat Arsenal unexpectedly

We had Lai as the owner and he would have just been happy to collect the Premier league money without trying to build us as a club. We'd have been relegated but had parachute money so maybe Lai borrowing money to prop up his failed business in China wouldn't have been such a hit...or maybe he'd have borrowed more money.

One thing for sure is we definitely wouldn't be in the Champions League.

I wasn't being serious. We wouldn't have been a steady PL team anyway.

Oh god not going to hear the end of this

Oh how different things would've been if Gayle didn't get sent off...

It could have been us

We didn't play awful or bad. We was decent but Middlesbrough were better they broke better and created better chances so on the balance of the game i think they deserved it

We are going to get this from time to time, We should know what the championship is like now but we will be fine and i don't see any reason why people are going to panic

Tommy Fellows

Josh Griffiths was in the squad

Sam Field was Under 20s

Go on Tommy

He's got to know what his best XI is as well. But we have a 26 man squad now, lets see if CC knows what best

« on: August 31, 2024, 12:43:34 AM »
I don't know about anyone else, but I can't remember many better transfer windows than this one.
I am really optimistic about this season now

We haven't seen the players in action and see how they do. In financial terms its good business in playing terms it's up in the area

And its the same for every team

21
Squad (11pm - 30th August)

GK: Palmer, Wildsmith

Def: Furlong, Ajayi, Bartley, Heggam, Holgate, McNair, Frabotta,

Mid: Styles, Molumby, Swift, Diakite, Racic, Mowatt, Heard, Whitwell

Wide players: Wallace, Diangana, Fellows, Johnston. Dobbin,

Att: Grant (Yes i know he can play wide), Maja, Dike, Cole

I know that Wallace can play up front and players are a bit more fruid in their roles

So its a 26 man squad if you include Whitwell and Heard (Dike is injured)

I expect Wildsmith, Frabottta, Diakie, Dobbin and D.Cole to start like everyone else does.  Taylor should play but I think it could be with Ajayi rather than Heggam as many seem to expect.

If we fill the rest with youth I think the chances of an upset tonight are pretty high, but when else do you play them so a couple at least need to go in.

It will be stronger than the team vs Aldershot for example.
