Liverpool 2-0 down at City. Shame.  ;D

And so it begins.

Liverpool fans will inevitably bemoan their luck as they slide back into top six obscurity with no title ambitions for the next 15 years... :P

Liverpool dominated the first 35 minutes, then a defensive error from a young lad playing his first game in the PL put them on the back foot and the result seemed inevitable. They are trying to integrate new players at the minute but I have no doubt they will be comfortable top 3. Them, Chelsea and City are miles ahead of the rest.

To be fair there were mistakes before it got near Moreno for the first City goal, Gerrard let the man get behind him far too easily and then Lovren decided to leave a massive gap between himself and Moreno and that happened several times during the game. They need to do a lot of work on that back four over the next few weeks but with that said its certainly no disgrace to lose to that City side who came alive after going ahead, them and Chelsea are a cut above the rest and to be fair to Liverpool they matched them first half and flashes in the second to suggest they will have another decent season if they keep players fit.

Liverpool are well behind City and Chelsea. No chance of the title. I'd say it's close between them and Arsenal for 3rd. Tottenham and Everton will be next and I expect LVG to get it right at Utd but they are not as good as the other 6. Predictable really.

I think spuds will overtake scousers,
If sturridge gets crocked Ballotelli isn't someone who will work as a lone striker IMO.

Stating the bleeding obvious I know, but, Had they had Suarez last night it could have been a different result.

A little bit harsh, but I can see your sentiment!

Colin back in at Palace (nudging Steve Clarke out of the running), that should guarantee them problems!

For me that's them down. Not only is he not premier league class but he will cause a divide in the dressing room with the likes of Jason Puncheon there.

Maybe we could put a cheeky bid in for him.

I'm afraid without Suarez Liverpool will be nowhere near the title this year. They will do well to get 4th.

Man City and Chelsea will be in the top two this season. I think without Suarez and the extra games this season Liverpool will struggle to make the top four I think. Tottenham look a stronger side this season. I was very surprised that Palace appointed Warnock, good for us as I think Palace will really struggle this season without Pulis.
