As a result of the introduction of the Enterprise Act 2002, HMRC [then Customs and Excise and Inland Revenue] lost its preferential creditor status, so it is correct.

You can thank Gordon Brown for that one.

Good to see i have my finger on the pulse then. I would have argued strongly that HMRC always come first, thanks for educating me.

How did BBC Sport journalists fare with season's predictions?
Got the Baggies and Bolton right.

Compared to this appointment and Woodgate at Boro I feel that we have done rather well.

I conclude, from their appointments, money is in short supply and they may struggle in the transfer market in the current transfer window

Yes, I think they went all out to get promoted in their first season following relegation by hiring Monk and making some expensive signings who turned out to be flops. These included Britt Assombalonga, Ashley Fletcher and Martin Braithwaite, who cost more than £30m between them.

Swansea have named Steve Cooper as their new Head Coach

I hope it works out

Those deriding the appointment are usually those who state new coaches never get an opportunity.

A new head coach, not from the recycled mill. Good luck to him.

If you don't think that Steve Cooper is a very good coach I suggest you read this.

I am less impressed by the appoint of Woodgate at 'Boro but provided he hasn't drunk too deeply from the well of Pulisball probably has enough experience as an Assistant to make a decent stab of being a Head Coach.

I wouldn't under estimate the task that confronts either.

...and at least Swansea, despite doubts about the American owners, are staying consistent with what they want from a head coach.

Stoke have agreed a deal for Barnsley's Lindsay. Know nothing about him but people seemed to think he'd be decent. They're dealing early again, didn't work last year for them but i fancy them to make a charge this season.

Am i right in thinking this is the guy who coached England Under 17's to World Cup glory?

Or maybe return for their previous manager Chris Hughton.
All in all, another strange decision by Blues. Didn't they sack Gary Rowett after he seemed to be putting together a decent team?

Yes, not how I'd read your post initially, good how the same words can mean different things eh?
I suspect he's better off out of it to be honest, they're becoming a bit of a shambles (may be a bit pot & kettle for a Baggies fan to say!!)

I hope not. Monk was very popular so Big Dave with his backgound and track record would get slaughtered...

Nottingham Forest assistant manager Roy Keane has left the Championship club.

No reason for his departure in the article
