Villa moved to the Friday night. You must be joking

TWO more Albion games have been re-scheduled for live TV in the coming weeks.

The Baggies’ trip to Ipswich Town at the end of November and the home derby against Aston Villa will both now be Friday night live presentations for Sky TV.

Albion’s clash at Portman Road has been brought forward to November 23 with a 7.45pm kick off.

Two weeks later, Albion’s keenly-awaited derby clash against Villa will now go ahead on Friday, December 7 with an 8pm kick off.

Supporter taken ill on Saturday sadly passes away

THE family of the Albion supporter who collapsed and later passed away in hospital have thanked the Baggies family for their support and condolences this week.

Long-standing Albion fan Eric Murray, 83, had been taken ill at his West Stand seat shortly before kick-off against Watford on Saturday.

Oldbury-born Eric, a retired sales rep and well known part-time musician, had been a huge Baggies devotee since the 1940s.

His son Steven said today: “We would like to thank everyone who has offered their condolences and support. It is comforting so many Albion fans were thinking of dad at this time.

“He received tremendous care on Saturday when he was looked after with dignity and concern.

“He loved his football and especially loved the great Ronnie Allen team of the 1950s – and our family is all Albion as a result. We’ve been touched by the support from everyone.”

The Club would like to take this opportunity to offer its own condolences to Eric’s widow, Margaret, Steven and sister Joanne and 10 grandchildren.

Eric’s funeral will be held at Powke Lane Crematorium on December 20.

West Bromwich Albion FC / next 3 games

Am I alone in thinking that the next 3 matches are crucial to our season
By this time next week we will have played Burnley,Swansea and West Ham in the cup
Best scenario is 6 points and in the next round of the cup.If so,happy days we will stay up and fancy a nice cup draw
4 points and a cup win is OK but much less will put us in trouble
I think it is imperative that we don't lose at Burnley and then beat Swansea
I have been a season ticket holder for 30 years and know that the Baggies will always let you down so my guess would be 1 point in the league and out of the cup
Anyone feel more confident?
