We need to  not underestimate them, before corona they looked nailed on for champions league. Would snatch a point if offered now.

If we get Robinson and Krovinovic in before weekendtje only addition to last year's squad will be Cedric. Desperate for a striker as options available are pants, Slaven put Tulloch upfront.

Would take a point to be honest. They've got a great squad and real fire power up front. Hopefully they're still out of form and we can take them by surprise.

I'd be happy with a score draw but we need a new striker in for that to be likely.

I'd take a draw (any draw), Leicester are no mugs even though I do think Rodgers is an over-rated manager.

Why would you want an inexperienced winger/midfielder to play as a striker?

Surely Robinson (if he signs) would be the better option, at least he has played as a striker.

Be interesting with VAR this year.

Be a bit of a shock to our players I would have thought.

Bartley (especially) and Hegazi will need to control the shirt pulling although they may not get that much game time.

Pereira will have to watch the play acting but he may well benefit from VAR though as he was fouled a lot last season without getting much.

If Robinson signs and no one else before Saturday:

                                                       Johnstone

                          O'Shea                Kipre                                Ajayi                      Gibbs

                                              Livermore                 Sawyers

                                    Grosicki                        Pereira                           Diangana

                                                                 Robinson

Subs: Button, Furlong, Hegazi, Harper, Phillips, Austin, HRK.

I've gone with Grosicki at Right wing to allow Pereira to play behind the striker.

Given the same conditions:

Johnstone

Furlong
Ajayi
Hegazi
Gibbs

Sawyers
Livermore
Field

Pereira
Robinson
Diangana

Subs: Button, O'Shea, Townsend, Grosicki, Harper, Phillips, Austin

Needs Townsend on the bench every week until Gibbs breaks again. Think we get mullered playing 4-2-3-1, need to match up teams playing 4-3-3. Wouldn't put Kipre straight in, and wouldn't throw O'Shea straight into Premier League football.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Townsend was injured which is why I left him out. If Gibbs got injured O'Shea could switch to LB and Furlong could then come on at RB.

Agree that this will be the team, barring a miracle, match fit, striker coming in in the next two days.

Here we are a few days before the new season and we are still looking at the same players that limped over the promotion line last season.

I have got to admit I am disappointed with Albion.  The end of last season it was so clear that we desperatly need a striker and you would have thought they would have pulled out all the stops to get one in before the season starts.  But no, we will probably start with one of the hopeless excuses we call a striker !!

This could have been a match where we could have sneaked at least a point with a half decent striker but I am afraid its going to be the same old Albion as it was at the end of last season.

If we can't even get a draw against Huddesrfield there is no way we will get anything against Leicester.
