Accrington Stanley showed more pride and professionalism at A field today than some of our players did.

Anyway for anyone interested WBA women are playing Man Utd women in the fa cup on youtube

Even worse they got hammered 7-0 by Man U but kept it to 1 for 77 minutes!

I have been out of phone reception most of the day so can I ask why Brunt is getting things pinned on him? At the last few games it seemed like Abella was the more active/in charge coach, with Brunt doing the press duties. Not that he isn't responsible but I'm seeing a lot of "What was Brunt doing?!" and I just don't know why it's getting pinned on him.

Let's face it, while there are various routes into coaching, Brunt being loans manager suggests him being less fussed by on-the-pitch stuff, and Abella was a statistical analyst in the last setup. The Bournemouth coach is renowned for being an excellent tactician and their keeper probably costs more than are starting XI so no surprise really

You only need to look at Sheffield Utd. Spanked in the prem every week now pushing for promotion. The gulf is huge almost as huge as when we first were promoted. It will take us 6-7 years with ups and downs to get back to the level we were before

The gulf is massive now. These FA Cup results show it. Bournemouth thumping us, Leicester smashing QPR 6-2, Brighton shredding Norwich at Carrow Road, Fulham pummeling Watford

I have no problem losing away to an in form team from a higher division.
However I am so annoyed about team selection.
Last week against Swansea Brunt said we were tired and even blamed the travelling as if we were Plymouth or Sunderland yet he played Styles,Grant and Fellows when he could have played Labrotta,Cole and Bostock.
As I recall Whitwell played quite well when brought on against Aldershot last season yet unless injured why wasn't he involved yesterday.Hasn't he developed at all?and why no Cleary?
It seems that we now have a professional ownership and The Foundation is excellent but we don't seem to be getting any benefit from young player development.

Whitwell has a knock according to Lewis Cox.

I expected a beating and boy did we get one.

It was a relatively strong side - it is a chronic shame however that so many of our well paid players are offering so little in return. It will be good in the summer to move most of them on.

A sobering reality check of just how far behind we’ve fallen.

Conspiracy theory Brunt played Swift etc because he knew the gaffer was watching somewhere & wanted to show him how rubbish they really are!

Too many of the bomb squad played and like how we lose control in league games we were already climbing a mountain before we had any control in midfield.

Diakite and molumby could make the step up in my eyes you just need to improve around them.
O Albion we love you

Not sure it's really fair to criticise some of the players seeing as they were playing against a team way above the quality.  What do we expect?  That Swift and Grady were suddenly going to have a decent premiership defence scrambling?

A bit of application would have been nice.

As I predicted we got a thrashing.  You can't expect League 1 and PL2 players suddenly manage the chasm of speed, thought and reaction that is required to play Premiership teams in one single leap.  But there you go.

We were just trying to lull the Premier League into a false sense of security ahead of HMS Albion sisping the playoffs. Phase One very definitely complete  ;) .

Plymouth beat Brentford. Bromley & Stockport didn't get thrashed. Tamworth held out Spurs to ET. None of them have players better than ours yet see what happens when you put in effort?
