Think Don Carlos will make any changes? Or stick with the team that started v the Swans?

I imagine same team with Johnston coming off the bench with view of long term starting

Stick with the same team, a winning team, hopefully. Just more quality on bench to change things with MJ and Holgate.

Edit - Think they said good chance Grady back too.

I think while Johnston has his facemask he'll come off the bench

Here's hoping he stands and delivers when the time comes  ;) .

Would anyone take a point away from home here or should we win this one easily?

No. 0-5 win ;D

On a serious note they looked terrible against Sunderland and could’ve lost by a lot more. They’ve been seriously riding their luck in all the games that they managed to pick up a point in, Middlesbrough had 30+ shots.

There are no easy wins in the Championship. Last season at home to Plymouth many were expecting us to batter them and we got a 0-0 draw. Same with Sheff Wednesday away many thought we'd be cementing our play off place with an easy win and we were terrible and lost 3-0.

On paper this looks to be the easiest of our fixtures so far but I'm expecting a tricky game.

I wouldn't take a point before hand as we have enough quality to beat them but I think it'll be far from easy.

I would take a point yes. Any point away from home is a good one, provided you keep winning at home.

Shall be watching this intently. If we are to have any aspirations, these are the sort of games to win! How many times have we shot ourselves in the foot in games we're expected to win

Exactly, if I knew we would see Plymouth off I'd take a point, but that's not how it works

I doubt beating Portsmouth will be that easy, they've drawn 3/4 which says something. Obviously, they may fade over the season and may not pick up many points with this strategy but especially away, this could be a tricky one.

A point on the road provided our home form is good is never a terrible result. However on current form this is most definitely a winnable game and I  will be a little disappointed if we don't win.

With the very greatest of respect to Portsmouth I'm not getting up at 05:00hrs for coffee and exercise before leaving the house at 07:15hrs on a Sunday morning with the intention of seeing us get a point.

I'd much rather lie in until 06:00hrs, knock the exercise on the head and have coffee and a sausage and bacon sandwich before travelling down to watch us get all three. COYB  8) .

Always a good away day at Fratton Park, especially when they had the old away end!!

Battered mushy peas on the port front were fantastic too!

Always a tough game and place to goto to get a win.

A draw would be good, but we must go there with the intention to win.

I can see a 2-1 win here.

Always feel like it should take forever to get to Portsmouth but I’ve been very lucky in the past, I’m pretty sure I’ve done it it under 2 and a half hours.

Leaving at 7.15 on a Sunday and without terrible luck in respect of traffic you could you could be having a second breakfast by the sea at 10am!  Hope you aren’t the designated driver as that’s a good session before KO!

Stragglers permitting we'll be leaving West Brom on a private coach about 08:00hrs. Last time I was down there we stopped off in Eastleigh en route and had more beers not far from Fratton Park.

Think the one near Fratton might have been the Trafalgar but it was a while back now so can't swear to that. Spent a lot of time in Southsea, Havant and Fareham when I was down south back in '89-'90. Had some good times.

The good companion is the designated away pub. 5 minute walk to the ground, 10 minutes from Fratton station.
If you’ve got a bit more time and the weathers nice Spice Island is a good pub down on the seafront in Old Portsmouth. There will be a few of us local baggies in The Bold Forrester in Southsea, 15 mins from Fratton Park.
