Quite agree Paul.
Strange really as I thought Swift was excellent in the first game against QPR but he can be so inconsistent like yesterday for example, he needs to be dropped to the bench particularly now with our improved squad.
I tend to disagree I think swift has performed better than mowatt over the first 4 games
I can’t wait to see Racic has the cdm

Thought we were very good in the first half - how it was only 1-0 I’ll never know.

Second half was back to the wall but Swansea didn’t really create much and the better chances fell our way.

31 passes without Swansea even getting near us for the goal.

Also, Bartley played a couple of great long range passes - the one here and the one to set up Fellows in the second half

Wow! I cannot see that at all.

I can. While contributing to some very good midfield play Mowatt has been sloppy and could quite easily have cost us a few times already this season. For Swift it's very apparent his role has changed. He's popping up here there and everywhere, makes himself available for the ball at all times and he's knitting play together nicely.

Obviously this detracts from the more creative side of his game but he still managed three shots (all off target) and could have had an assist for Racic on Saturday. I'm not going to pretend he's been eye catching but he's still applying himself and doing a job for the team.
It doesn't matter how many resources you have.

Referee: Anthony Backhouse
Assistant Referee: Jonathan Hunt
Assistant Referee: Hristo Karaivanov
Fourth Official: Robert Madley

Reffed our 0-0 at Bristol City last season.

Outhouse Tony more like.

Some very unusual decisions.

Being polite some of his outcomes were, well.....

Thankfully crowning off a bit a of a feel good factor about the club going into the game, I think it's fairly regularly we can have a good 10-15 minutes in a game, I felt like we came out absolutely scintillating, moving the ball so quick and there looked a few levels between the teams. If I can pinpoint what stunted the momentum, it was the Molumby yellow which was a bit of a cruncher, but we were playing such an aggressive game at that point so I can't be too mad at him and he more than made up for it after. He was very good, aside from the goal.

Beautiful goal which I wasn't sure was going to come, it would have been a travesty if we didn't take a lead into the second half.

Credit to them I feel, they really had a strong start to the second half and they can consider themselves unlucky that didn't produce more. We had the much clearer chances though and should have ultimately eased through, on top of the first half performance. They didn't create anything too clear at all though, ultimately it was a deserved win with of course a bit of tension to see it out.

Nothing truly exceptional off the bench but the squad is looking strong, there's being glimpses in Racic and Dobbin, I'm looking forward to seeing how the team really starts to shape up and feel very happy and almost comfortable with our options.

What a start!
