First game i'll be able to attend for an age. Going with Dad and Brother. Not been to the shrine since the 0-0 with Luton 18 months back.

Please give us a reason to smile Albion!
Whenever things look bad, remember the Port Vale, Grimsby and Walsall days... not so bad now, eh?!

I imagine the atmosphere will be somewhat more pumped as Sunderland will undoubtedly sell out and there ought to be a feel good factor after the win last night and the position we are in.

I still have haunting memories of the same fixture last season that killed our play off chances. Would be nice to avenge that and the defeat at their place earlier in the season which was a farce with Ballard scoring for them when he should have been sent off.

Very similar here, annual pilgrimage.  I'm driving so be careful and tolerant on the roads around Blackheath - Rowley Regis station.  Son who used to drive me is coming from Bristol.
The alternative of the train from the Surrey Hants border takes about 5 hours all in and costs ~£86.

Looking forward to it, watched Sunderland the other night and they are a typical championship side clattering into the back of opposition players and willing to run until they drop or substituted.  As Ballard goes in, he makes sure his foot goes down the ankle.  Jack Clarke is the main danger - show him down the outside.

Leeds couldn't penetrate their defence but didn't play well.  They have 4 clean sheets in 5;  BTA is going to get far fewer chances than against Rotherham, I'm not confident he'll take them.  I would be happy with a nervous draw

Maybe just as important not to pick up any injuries with Play-Offs on the horizon. On the otehr hand, we can't afford to slip up against Sunderland.

Is he bad enough to give penalties outside the box?

He's so bad he gave Charlton a late penalty to equlise at 2-2 when we should have had a free kick for a foul on Ajayi. In another fixture he also sent Grady Diangana off with a straight red instead of Nathan Ferguson before the linesnoun put him right. That's just two instances off the top of my head.

It was the same game that he sent Diangana/Ferguson off and gave the last minute penalty for the foul on Ajayi that should have been a free kick to us.

Fair point well made.

Just goes to emphasise how inept he was.

Indeed, he must have been trying extra hard to stand out from the rest of his inept peers!

I expect Coventry to win so we need the 3 points.
Outside of Clarke we have better players & manager, so if we play well then we will win. The problem is we're stuttering over the line after a long season.

Can just picture them at referee conferences having a good giggle with each other over which one's won the Gimp of the Month Award.

No we're not. Five wins, five draws, and no defeats in the last 10 matches suggests the opposite does it not? Admittedly we haven't always sparkled in a few of these matches but we have got the job done. I haven't actually checked but I suspect there are very few teams in the division who have a better record over the last 10 games.

Last 10 games we're 4th behind Ipswich, Leeds and Norwich.

Last 6 3rd behind Norwich and Bristol City

Last 5 joint 5th behind Ipswich, Preston, Bristol City, Norwich with Middlesbrough

Purely down to the drawn games
