West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Grady Diangana
« on: January 18, 2025, 10:48:55 PM »
Thought Grady was the best attacking player on the pitch today. Not just because of the goal but he was the one most likely to have found the incisive pass both from out wide and from a central position
A clever tactical decision to play him against Stokes press. When he received the ball, he would turn, move forward, and lay the ball off to a winger. Unfortunately, if he received the ball back, he treated it like a hot potato. Some fancy footwork,(nice to see two players today do the Hollis move from Tamworth last week), and a well taken goal. Still a glimmer of hope, hopefully.

Now we've sorted out what MC stands for, I think this guy is better suited in some sort of attacking role. He has natural ability, is a quick thinker, and plays with confidence. And just gets on with the job. Dare I say, a bit like Asa Hartford. I like him.

Frustrating game to watch. Stoke came out second half, and forced us out to wings, leaving a crowded box. Hopefully Mowbray saw something he can work with.

And that is why said Sell, Sell, Sell.

He will go for a free.
Unfortunately, at the moment, he's unsaleable. A scenario we could've done without.

I'm putting my faith into astronomical events. For those that are unaware of such events, a good number of planets are rapidly lining up. That'll do for me. I may have been a druid in a previous life. Or desperate. 😁

I don’t have anything against any current player, Swift, Wallace, Holgate etc

I simply make the point that none of the current squad would be irreplaceable, that includes the players you refer to.
They are if there's no money to replace them.

I would love to get promoted. If only to have something to celebrate at seasons end. After all, that's all us fans really want. A day to remember, and a positive memory to fall back on till the next special occasion.

There is not a player in the current squad I would be sorry to see leave, that’s how far we have fallen as a club.
What have you got against Maja, Heggem, and Styles?

Opposing players really got stuck into him, but he held his ground as best he could. Must be a nightmare getting his kit cleaned.

I'm a bit bemused with Bournemouth having an established Premier League club. Bournemouth hasn't got the atmosphere of a football town. I associate it more with such sports as bowls, croquet and mini-golf.
It would be interesting to know the thoughts of Bournemouth folk about West Bromwich. ??

Anyone else going to be taking a peek at Valencia v Real Madrid?
I'd considered going, but just a bit too nippy for me at the moment. Might pop down to a local bar instead.

david moyes anyone? not sure prem clubs will go for him now.
I fear he's fallen off the management merry go round.

No as we are not even close to being ready. We still have Bartley and Ajayi as our cb main stay. We lack a left back. Furlong is our first choice rb we need to upgrade eventually. Central Midfield is ok but hardly spectacular.  We haven't had a decent number 10 since periera left. Of the 3 strikers we have 1 is perennially injured 1 isn't fancied. We need to finish the clear out and bring in young hungry talent that might step up.
That 'Might step up' is a massive gamble. I'd take a bag of cash, ease our financial worries, and take it from there.

Where has this rumour come from? On the surface, it doesn't seem likely  ???
Probably from the internet.

I have a problem with it. It's an approach Man City introduced, employed the best to make it work, and won lots of stuff. It was quick, incisive, with a midfield and forward line to finish the job. Our approach is the same thing. Just in very slow motion. And without the midfield and forward line.

For countless years, I've been wanting to change my name to one that stands out. A name that turns heads. A name that opens doors. From now on, I wish to be known as, Blake Antrobus Bickerdike. Let this be known.

You can tune in at any time and watch the whole game, which is then available as full replay for a few days thereafter. Living in California I get up at a sensible time and then watch the full game on replay without knowing the score 👍 COYB
Fair enough. The choice was very limited a few years ago. Live coverage was the only option when I was living Florida.

There's a new TV deal in usa. Which now sees at least 6 championship games on every weekend. Usually 1 Friday 4 Saturday and 1 sumday
Which makes KO time 9am in Florida, 5am California. I wonder how many can be bothered to watch this game?

Naah - all too one-sided for giant-killing
Do you not understand the phrase,'Romance of the FA Cup'? FA Cup history is littered with giant killings. As we know. These are the games I'll watch. The Final contestants usually play each other twice a year.

Does anybody know why this game is on Sunday?
Can't see it listed on sky sports live or red button?
Why is any football match on a Sunday.?
