No doubt, loosing the last two games to our direct rivals for the top two places will have undermined the teams confidence.

It is in games against the likes of Ipswich, who are struggling, that the management team must earn their corn.

I see a narrow win for the Baggies, but a win is what is important

No. the management team must earn their corn against the teams in and around us and so blatantly havent. those last two games have completely ended our chances of automatic if we are being honest. we will have to win 9 out of the last 11. just not going to happen.

for automatic? too late mate.
Nope just promotion via any route
Though must admit I'm still not sure I want us to be promoted to spend a season scudding around the lower reaches and being greatfull for not losing any game in the prem

I think there will be a few changes on Saturday (possibly 3-4). Problem is the make up of our midfield without Phillips. He alone transforms our team, but is too unreliable to rely upon due to his ability to picking up injuries.

Will be very interesting to see what formation/set up we go for. We’ve not really created much in the past two games and that’s a worry in itself.

No doubt that Saturday will be a tough game and I’d take a narrow win right now.

You can't affect the past, but you and affect the future.

I'm sure a defeatist attitude is not on the management teams agenda even if it is amongst some fans

You may well be right, but remind me, how far behind the Wolves were we in 2002?

probably wrong but was it something like 11 points with 11 games to go? so yes it can be done. back then we had no pressure and wasnt even expected to finish in the top half never mind automatic. this time, we are expected to finish in the top two so a lot more pressure on us. even the management set that by saying the target was 100 points. silly.

We were 11 points behind with 8 to play. We won 7 and drew one of the final 8 games. Yes it can be done but is of course unlikely

Can't see past a comfortable win here despite everything, they are a truly awful team.

Ipswich are a woeful team at the moment, with morale going right through the floor.  I cannot see that we would have any trouble getting three points out of this, but it will tell us nothing around how we will do in the matches after this.  Our run in looks good though, but I still cannot see us doing better than the playoffs.

I’m somewhat more circumspect than most, Ipswich, despite their lowly position, will not be a walkover and will not make lifee easy for us. We have lost our last two games and confidence will be fragile in my opinion.

I think it will be a very narrow victory for us, but would be delighted with the 3 and 4 goals some predict.

But most of all we need the crowd right behind the team even when Ipswich are attempting to frustrate us

They will come and put 10 behind the ball I would imagine, need to get Philips, Murphy and Harper on the ball as much as possible

i was just about to post that they have improved based upon getting a few draws recently, then I checked the current form table and they are still rubbish,  we should have enough but I agree with Dan it wont be easy.

Phillips likely to be back for Saturday but not Gibbs. Has to be Townsend at LB for me.

Or 3 at the back.
Moore has said that he will consider changing the system so think this is what we'll see.

                 Johnstone

          Tosin Hegazi Dawson

Holgate Barry Phillips Harper Murphy

             Rodriguez Gayle

May be some hairy moments at the back but potentially devastating going forward and will certainly suit Dwight.

You may be right there Seteefeet, not sure about Murphy as the wingback though as he is a little lightweight.

                      Holgate                    Dawson              Hegazi

                 Phillips            Johansen          Harper       Murphy/Montero        Townsend

                                             Rodriguez              Gayle

Subs: Bond, Bartley, Field, Morrison, Montero/Murphy, HRK, Edwards

I think having Townsend on the outside of Murphy is a better option or even Montero instead of Murphy. That way Murphy can come on fresh for Phillips after 60 mins or so (depending on how we are doing).
