Wonder of this will go ahead as planned now due to Covid in their squad, they have just cancelled this weeks fixture with Villa

Not nice having covid in camp but with 25 man squad if 15 men available then game should go ahead.

I would like to see the back 5 dropped especially when not against the big 6 sides.

4231, inverted wingers. It suits our players.

Johnstone
Furlong
Ajayi
Ivanovic
Gibbs

Gallagher
Sawyers

Diangana
Krovi
Robinson

Grant

Subs; Button, O'Shea, Bartley (no one else), Livermore, Grosicki, Edwards, Austin

Is Field fit?! Is Kipre any good?

KIpre wont ever be selected in a PL squad unless Bilic absolutely no choice. Bilic is proving his point.

Same 11 for me, I'd maybe set them up in a 433 but Krovinovic's positioning aside, I agree. Certainly think the wingers should be inverted and as have mentioned before, Grant and Robinson could be interchangeable.

I'm kinda hoping the game won't go ahead as it won't ruin the weekend.

2-0 to Newcastle, whilist Bartley is still our centre half we will concede more than one goal.

TBF since the board sold Hegazi we are starved for CB beyond BI and Ajayi.

Another stellar move by the people 'running' the club

Just do not play five at the back or pick Bartley or Livermore.

I can live with whatever the result turns out to be if those boxes are ticked

Can’t see why O’Shea is being left out , in fairness Phillips was doing Ok yesterday when it was 11 v 11. Sawyers should be given a chance further forward . Prefer Livermore to Krov on grounds of physicality. Wide players pick themselves to me Robinson gets the nod ahead of Grant at the moment . Was tempted to put Kipre on the bench but if we force them to throw Carroll on later on then Bartley is best equipped to deal with that and should be on immediately

Because prior to that he had been an ever present for many managers?

Some tweets on Twitter suggesting the game might not go ahead due to Newcastle's corona cases doubling..

I'm happy for all of our games to be scrapped personally. Saves them ruining the weekend :)

He had worked his way into the team and yes he did play regular apart from when he was injured.

Reports coming out of St James Park this morning are that all Newcastle United players have returned to training and our game against them on Saturday will now take place, barring any other incidents

Im.amazed this game is going to go ahead. We could argue we should be favourites if they have lots of cases and havent trained properly until today. We need a win

"Joseph Masi
@JosephMasi_Star
Slaven Bilic has just held his pre-Newcastle presser. He has no concerns about playing and expects the game to go ahead. Jake Livermore is fit after training all week. But the game has come too soon for Sam Field who returned to training for the first time today. #wba"

Odds on Livermore straight back in?

Quite like this Hull, but not sure with Gallagher's mobility/ability to get up and down. we need Livermore and Field, Krov instead of Livermore might give us a bit more going forward. Thinking a bit more, not something I particularly enjoy, maybe Ivanovic shepherding the two younger guys instead of Bartley  Dunno really though
