The note passed between players
« on: April 14, 2019, 08:13:39 PM »
Sitting in the Brummie yesterday Matty came on and passed a piece of paper to Brunt who then passed it on to several others finally ending up in a sock. The reading of it certainly got the attention of the recipents.
I have never seen that happen before.
Anyone any ideas what was on it?

Think it was a change in game plan.

When Phillips came on, Johansen was told to sit, he had the note last.

Jrod, Gale & Phillips went to a three.

JRod held three fingers up to the bench & nodded his head
If it was easy, it wouldn't be Albion

A wise old owl sat in an oak, the more he saw, the less he spoke
The less he spoke the more he heard, why aren't we like that wise old bird?

It's certainly not a first, the cameras pick that up on TV now and then. Guess it makes sure nothing is lost in the Chinese whispers of the sub bringing on verbal instructions.

Pulis used to send notes on regularly to Fletcher.

I think it was a Kebab list

The note could have been to inform them that their win bonus of a Chinese takeaway had been cancelled owing to a lack of funds.
