That’s not a guy who’s about to buy us IMO.

That’s a bloke happy about this story as it’s drawn attention to his business. Wouldn’t be surprised if he try’s to get himself linked to multiple clubs to draw further attention.

Correct

Rumoured he’ll be club captain this season.

I actually think it will be Jed personally

Any idea if fans who have renewed will get new cards posted out or if we have to use last seasons..?

I like it and will buy it. It looks like a timeless kit. I do think the pricing is ridiculous though. £45 for a kids shirt is a joke. I know it's not the clubs fault and they hardly get any from the shirt sales but still.

Someone I know who has bought one of the away shirts has said they are quite small. They usually have a small adult but have had to get a medium this year (no, they haven't put on any weight!)

Anyone on here bought one?

I think this has been the case since we've been with Puma tbh..

West Bromwich Albion FC / Re: Grady Diangana
« on: July 05, 2023, 11:40:55 AM »
I like Grady and think there is a player in there but its three seasons down the line since his loan move and it just hasnt happened for him here.

It probably needs a fresh start for both parties and we would just have to risk that he may gone to do well elsewhere.

In our current position everyone has a price, that left hand side we are well stocked, we have Grady, Grant, Reach, Phillips and possibly Cleary.

It would seem we are trying to shift one of if not both Grady and Grant, Corberan has already said he likes Reach and Phillips did well until he got injured (we have seen Phillips for years and know him playing well may of been the 10-12 good game spell he has each season)

Personally out all four senior left sided players i wouldnt be bothered if we got rid of them all, the reality is we will probably get rid of two and Grant and Grady are the two who may go for a bit of money and thats what we want and need now - money.

Have to disagree with this, sorry. Cleary is not a left winger, Reach? enough said. That leaves you with Grant and Phillips..

Based on the last 3 seasons, where he has shown little more than a few glimpses of his undoubted talent - and often for a spell of only 5-6 games - his monetary value to us (based on what he CAN do) is probably higher than his real value to us if we base it on what he is today, rather than what he was when we bought him.

Above all, I think he needs a change of scenery and a fresh start if he’s ever going to come good again.

For that reason, around £4m with a sell-on clause would be a decent deal in my view.

A sell-on clause is a good shout. Maybe £5m-£6m + sell-on clause..

Sounds like the club want it out there that he's available, but want reasonable money for him.  In reality we are desperate to get out as many as possible.

I feel Grady is not happy with us, needs to return to his home area and restart his career.  He has failed to deliver the past two seasons (assists/goals) and its time for us to take the hit (financially).

Many others are worse than GD for sure, but we need a fresh start too.  So for me, the more players that leave the better.

Maybe Watford or Luton.. It's been reported many times that he didn't want to move to us permanently and went back to West Ham after the Loan with us thinking he'd be with them pre-season and break into the first team.

I hope we don't sell Grady. I've just got a terrible feeling if he moves on he'll end up being the player that we had on loan, and then move on again for £50m+. I've just got a bad feeling typical Albion.

That being said, when was the last player to leave us 'for bigger things' ... ? Lukaku and Harvey Barnes the only 2 I can think of in recent times. (granted they were on loan and not actually ours) Jay Rod maybe? - went to Burnley in the Prem from us in Champ, Dawson I suppose but we had him in the Prem, Jonny Evans, Foster.. They all stayed in the Prem didn't they but didn't really move on to 'better things'. Pereira, financially better things but not in terms of going to a better league and pushing on his career. Johnstone has flopped so far hasn't he, bench at Palace.

I don't actually mind the green one. The villa one is horrible. Like a knock off Barca top from the market.

On fire in todays training session footage the club have posted. Looks slimmer too, could just be me.

He did look sharp, but in the grand scheme of things it's a 2 minute clip. I'm sure he'll be useless again this season unfortunately

The game at Leeds is now on Friday August 18th 8pm kick off.

https://www.wba.co.uk/news/leeds-united-clash-selected-sky-sports

Albion’s Sky Bet Championship trip to Leeds United has been selected for Sky Sports coverage.

The Elland Road encounter will now take place at 8pm on Friday, August 18, replacing the original date of Saturday, August 19 (ko 3pm).

and so it begins!

Annoyed at this, seems like every time we play Leeds away in recent times it falls on a weekday. One ground I never manager to get to tick of the list for some reason.

My nephew has recently signed with the academy. Had trials with Walsall, Coventry, Albion, Wolves, Forrest & Leicester. Got offered by Coventry Walsall and Wolves, turned down by the other 3, was all but about to sign with Wolves and Albion called back with a 'change of heart' - He's now signed with us (U16's)  Hopefully one for the future.

I find talk of "I'm not renewing while this manager is in charge" and "they'll not get another penny form me while this owner is in charge" etc a bit cringe. We support the Club/Team/Badge. Regardless of the manager, owner, league position etc I'd still go. I like to watch football, and support my local team. It's really not that deep for me tbh. I renewed yesterday for the 18th season in a row.

I haven't seen anything about the deadline to renew your seat if you had a season ticket this year - any ideas?
