I'm very concerned for this game with an injury list of Phillips, Gibbs, Brunt, Chadli, Morrison and Dawson. Add to that the work that the likes of Rondon, Livermore and Field have gotten through in the last two games, it could be a tough day. We know Hodgson, he will keep nice and organised with his central midfielders sitting in the centre of the park and then exploit us on the break - with a new manager in his first game, we could fall right into that trap as Pardew and the players will want to get off to an attacking start.
I'm hoping the 'new manager bounce' will be enough to get us through the difficult period with injuries.
