In 18-24 months maybe, but for now I'd have pete straight back in, he has not handled himself well but the club should have took him out the squad until this pre season, the fact that no serious offer has been made (discounting the 200 quid from the quataris) it may make him realise that although a decent player not quite a world beater?

I would take Odemwingie back into the fold in a heartbeat. But then I've never been overly bothered by his conduct anyway.

You know, the time when a senior member of the club staff told him it looks like the deal was almost done?
Did the smiley bald fella in the suit talking to him in the car park prior to going look like he was telling him not to disobey club orders?
There's two sides to this, neither handled it well but if he plays I'd support him, but I understand why others wouldn't.
If youre going to get told off, get told off for doing something not for doing nothing..

I wonder why he didn't want to honour any of the contracts he signed at the club ?

I know there's two sides but only 1 was whinging on Twitter about how hard it is on that contract he was so happy to sign. If he had the nous to keep it shut none of this would have happened, no matter which side is right he's the one who acted the dick.

I wouldn't boo him even if he comes back with another club, wouldn't waste the energy on him

All of the buggers are always asking for an increase.

But plenty act the dick in private so theres no comeback on them as we don't know. Plenty are unhappy but choose to act with dignity and not stupidity.

And second part telling him to go somewhere  :D

I still don't understand why he wanted to leave to be honest.

Well according to him because someone who no longer worked at the club had upset him by questioning his commitment.  So to prove his commitment he sulked and insisted he wanted to play for someone else, instead.  Yeah, I don't understand it either.

I think it's quite simple. He never wanted to be here in the 1st place. We were a stepping stone to something else that never materialised after his initial signing! Come in do well get a move to a bigger club. :(

I loved what he brought to the team, one the best players we ever had in the premiership era BUT he has to go and go quick so everyone can move on.

Sadly... the best player of the PL era, by some distance.

Yeah could have been a real icon here but instead he cocked up big time, all the good things he has done will be overshadowed by the last 6 months unfortunately.

Cardiff sniffing according to 'sky sources' - should get around the £8m mark now then :)

About a month until the transfer deadline, so JP will be rubbing his hands with glee if Cardiff follow up their reported interested. Anything around £3m would be brilliant.

Given that Malkey McKay says he likes hard workers and is big on dressing room spirit .... not sure if Pete is an obvious fit. ::)

I think Jim White may have picked up this sniff of information for Sky when he visited the Cardiff ground today.

So he might be able to get that relegation dog fight he was so desperate for last season.
