I hope so. Man Utd have dominated for so long in my lifetime that id like to see Arsenal win it now. Watching them over take Liverpool though has its benefits.

Fergie will stay on in the job until he beats Liverpools record.  In a strange way I hope he does it so he retires then we havent got to be subjected to his rubbish all the while and the curcus that comes with it.

I think when he retires the dictatorship he has created at Man Utd will collapse.  Cant wait.

I hope Dalglish can put one across Fergie.
I lost all respect for Fergie when he withdrew his Loanees from Preston when they sacked his Son - No thought for the kids concerned just pure unadultarated vengeful spite !! Pathetic.

West Ham beating Stoke.

I think a loss for Villa and a draw between West Ham and Stoke would do us.

Well, Birmingham really cannot afford to lose that one, if they do they are well and truly fighting for their PL lives after that.

Wolves will miss O'Hara today though.

That said Tottenham don't look the same side without Bale & van der Vaart.

Tottenham win hopefully, but a draw will do.

Mad game Liverpool vs United!

Its 2-0 to Liverpool at HT, United have been shocking, very fiesty affair with 2 nasty challenges by Carragher and Rafael punished only with yellow cards. Nani acted like such an idiot after that Carragher tackle though. Fair enough it was a shocker but you can't run around and remonstrate, manhandle the referee then lie down and cry whilst being stretchered off. Well weird.

Players should never ever touch the referee in my opinion, let him get on with his job.

I think Dowd handled those 2 situations well, could have maybe brandished reds but has kept it 11 v 11 and tried to take the sting out of the game. PLAYERS should take more responsibility for their actions on the pitch. The mass melees in this game have been pathetic.

Really need a Spurs win today, or at a minimum a draw, although without Bale and VdV they're a shadow of their usual selves so we'll have to see.

If Blackpool lose by 3 goals tommorow we go above them as well for the first time in a while, bound to be a confidence boost for us and a real knock for them.

I've said it all along and I still truly believe that Blackpool will go down, they are plucky and have been great at times this season but they simply don't have the quality to stay up. And like you say Dan if they drop down into the bottom 3 which they may do soon then it will knock that confidence they have built up in the earlier half of the season.

They havent been down there struggling all season really, so it will be interesting to see their reaction when they are

Jamie O'Hara won't be able to play today will he? He's the big link in that Wolves time I feel. He ran their midfield when they played us. purs should win, but I've got a sneaky feeling Wolves will beat them.

Good game, Wolves the better side. They never give up and thats why they are such a threat at the moment. I just wish Defoe would have scored in the last 10 minutes when he hit the post.

Not sure on either decision regarding the sending off and the disallowed goal but Spurs have been very fortunate and if that was against Man Utd you can be sure Spurs would not have got both decisions. Thought Hutton could have gone - it was a clear goal scoring opportunity but it was tight with Gomez while the header that was called back for a foul is more often than not given in the keepers favour although it did look like he got the ball first and not the keeper. Gomez was standing still though and seemed to have got the ball.

Glad they didnt win but they are showing some spirit now. Important with them and West ham picking up so many points that we keep our points total ticking. I feel we are going to need Blackburn and Blackpool this season.

Blackpool vs Chelsea

As much as I like Blackpool's style of play, wish them to stop up, we need Chelsea to stuff them on Monday.

I think we need Chelsea to win by 3 goals or more for us to go above Blackpool.  Two goals would put us level on GD, but I think goals for count? of which Blackpool have scored two more than us.

Come on, up one place to 15th for the Baggies please!!

I wasn't aware Monday night was part of the weekend?  Fair enough, I'm all for a long one. :D

It's a pretty big game for us I feel, even though we're not playing in it.  Blackpool getting anything out of this would be fairly damaging to us, or at least our good result from the weekend, I feel.

Would like to see a 6-0 result to Chelsea here (for our benefit)

While I like and admire what Blackpool have done so far, I feel if they survive this Season it may actually hurt them in the long run

They may just get too tempted to start throwing more money than they can afford to compete.

Well, not many results have gone our way this week, really hope Chelsea can win this one, although Blackpool usually test all the top teams at home so i could see them springing a surprise.
I really fancy Blackpool getting dragged into it and going down in the end, if they win tonight though i might change my mind.

Massive for us we got the win saturday cause it seems everybody else has also realised what a dogfight they're in and they all got results.
West ham are getting better, i fancy them to stay up, with massive contributions from Parker and Ba.
Fulham won, they were quite close to the relegation zone.
Point for Wolves and a very good gritty performance, could have won on another day, bound to give them a massive boost with the late goal, i was hoping with our win a bit of breathing space but its still as close as ever  :(

Comfortable chelsea win please......

Massive for us we got the win sunday cause it seems everybody else has also realised what a dogfight they're in and they all got results.

But we gained 2 more points on the Wolves,so more breathing space, they were at home. You expect to win your home games. They aint to clever away are they.

Chelsea to beat Blackpool by 3 clear goals. We rise another place if they do

Although Chelsea are leading 1-0 they are really awful.

Torres and Drogba look as though they would rather pass to a Blackpool player than each other.

Hopefully they will come out with a different attitude second half.
It is not the taking part, but the winning that counts.

Holloway will be writing the kerrrazey script for his post match idiot act after that penalty.

How fat are Reid and Beattie!
I only go for the beer.

Chelsea have looked poor, agreed, but if they get another we go above Blackpool, come on!!

Let's hope so, it looks like GD may be pretty important this year.

Beattie and Reid are the exact opposite type of players who got them their points - fat, bone idle and uninterested.

So what's the betting that the Two "Wests" survive....

and the two "Blacks" drop?
On a roundel paly of thirteen argent and azure a missel thrush perched on a hawthorn branch leaved and fructed proper.
