No excuses with this one, they're away in Romania on Thursday night - it's the perfect time to play them.

They may rest some of there first teamers though as they are five nil up. A good result in this one would give us a real boost and would be a good end to what has so far been a  good week for us.

They haven't got a point yet, we need to go for the throat early on in this one imo.

a mixed week, fosters injury the only 'dampener' so to speak for now, though no real recruits are in sight either

Hey there my fellow Perth Baggie friend Semaj, always the optimist  ;D

Unfortunately Swansea have been a bogey side for us of late in this fixture and we cannot seem to contain them. We got rolled twice last season and we were playing better then, however I will be optimistic and go for a 1-1 draw, FGS ...........The Berg (it has to happen sometime)

Right from kick off we need to attack them and make a good start to get the fans behind the team. If the reverse happens then the fans will turn and it could turn into a hugely frustrating game. If peter does go to swansea, i wander if there will be a clause to prevent him from playing s.

We  haven't played well against Swansea for a while now. Time to change that.

I thought we played reasonably well in our last game against them, even allowing for the fact that Swansea had an absolutely perfectly legitimate goal disallowed late on.
Our other 3 Premier League outings against them have been quite poor though.

Our other 3 Premier League outings against them have been quite poor though.

The game at their place last season stands out for me in the whole season - a real "what am I doing here" moment, when we were two down after twenty minutes of being utterly outplayed by what looked like men v boys.

For me, they're becoming the "modern era" (the one in which we're wholly or mainly in the Premier League) bogey team.

Despite a slow start to the home game against Swansea last season we came back and should have scored three goals that day. The other three games we have had with Swansea have been very poor, so we are due a good result and performance against them. I wouldn't be so bothered if we only took a point from this game.

it was season before last that we got beat twice by them. We beat them 2-1 at home last season....and even missed a penalty...and let them score first!

I'm feeling much more optimistic about this game than I was after the Soton game. Our defensive showing against Everton, plus a moral boosting win on Tuesday plus Anelka back could be the spur we need.

Please Mr Clarke 4-3-3 , none of this 4-4-2 anymore.
