Still early days, but they are leaving the new manager a lot of work to do.

I don't understand how they are so bad? Grealish, Abraham and Bolasie would surrly get into any team in this division, while the likes of Hourihane, McGinn, Chester, Adomah and Kodija are all really solid championship players who individually could play for sides around the top 6. Even those not getting into their team (Hogan, Lansbury) have played for good sides in the division pre Villa.

Happy while it lasts. The longer the poor results go, the tougher it is for the new man to get them back in track when theycdo eventually click.

The vile finished 4th last season with 83pts to match that they need to average 2pts per game for the rest of the season.

Be an enormous gamble that, 2 unproven guys who haven’t worked together as coaches before, a great player doesn’t make a great coach. If I was a Villa fan I’d be screaming for Dean Smith, he’d get that team playing some superb stuff and would get them up the league.

This is interesting I think this has what has cost Bruce his job because the squad on paper isn't that bad but results/performances have been poor.

I suspect that some of what looks good on paper isn't that good in reality. Abraham's progress stalled last year at Swansea and he might not be the best foil for Kodjia who is also coming back from injury and played out of position to accommodate Abraham. Equally Bolasie hasn't played much off the back of a lengthy injury lay-off I suspect he is absolutely not the player that joined Everton

There is also a lot players who Bruce has bombed out who are still hanging about the place e.g. Hogan,Richards and Lansbury without contributing much there is still a feeling of rot about the place. The surprising thing is that he managed to drag them to 4th last season.

Yep. They're languishing in lower-mid table, could end in tears. But the seals seem very excited at the prospect.

I think if they go for either both or one of Terry or Thierry they will be relegated.
Its the usual new owners who want a big name regardless of the consequences.
Which I hope will end in failure, so bring it on.

The league table suggests that this season so far our lot are substantially better than theirs.

Any news about a possible points reduction?
Or is that overwith now, a lucky escape?

Heard that Dave Woodhall the editor for Whores and Vilers on TalkShite earlier.

They were talking all things Vile and chewing the fat over potential managers.

Unsurprisingly, every other word that trickled from his facial orifice was 'BIG'.

Well let's be fair, it's going to take the master of 'water into wine' type scenarios to sort that shower out. I hope the good Lord turns them down.

I'm just hoping whoever 'seals' the deal and comes in is the wrong man/woman/non binary gender person for the job (obviously).

Their squad's not too shabby and I'd hate for them to realise their attacking potential.

Might be Lenny Henry.
obviously Thierry isn't aware that our illustrious neighbours have won the European Cup.
I wonder if they mentioned it at the interview?
