Does anyone know, now that it’s established he’s from Surrey, how he formed his attachment to Albion?

He grew up with his grandmother and her second husbond (not his real grandfather) and he has told they was his real parentes. I think at least one of them was a born and bread Baggie.

Can't be many Kens to have played for the Baggies! Can't think of any of the top of my head.

Ken McNaught, Kenny Swain.

Anyone driving to the game and passing Cambridge on the way back? I am going with a friend, but unfortunately the last train from Ipswich to Cambridge is leaving at 21.45. We booked our trip from Norway before the game was moved back to friday and we have prepaid our hotel in Cambridge without any possibility to get any refund.  If anyone is driving to, or passing, Cambridge after the game and give us lift we will of course pay you for the inconvenience.

I said this last week, he has agreed his deal and the fee has been agreed and it is just the work permit that needs to be confirmed, we thought that it would be done on Friday but it wasn't so we had to wait until today and it should be rubber stamped today but I reconfirm he has agreed to sign. Dont panic!!

I noticed that Baggie79 and I have never doubted your story. But I thought a link from sources in Norway could be helpful to reduce the panic because both the player and the selling club have confirmed the deal to TV2.

Although not having any idea of what goes on behind the scenes I doubt it is a work permit issue as that didn't prevent us getting Ideye who apparently still hasn't got one.

Reported in Norwegian tv2 and the national newspaper VG that his work pemit actually is the issue. However, both Gamboa and his club Rosenborg confirm that evrything is sorted both between the two clubs and between WBA and Gamboa:

Fotballers in plural? More then one then i suppose? Is the other player a striker or is it the other Costa Rican player?

Gamboa move is clearly something we are pushing for this week. Rosenborg play Irish side Sligo on Thursday and a reporter for the Irish Sun just tweeted this.

Doesn't look like Cristian Gamboa will play v Sligo on Thu. Poised to join WBA. Sport Dir Erik Hoftun 'We are in talks with a specific club'

He did not play in their game yesterday either. They said he had an injury to one of his knees. If he is on his way to us it don`t sounds like a serious injury.

hmmm, the Rosenborg coach was fired today. Could this have an effect on Cristian Gamboa deal? Not sure how far the negotiations have come ....

As long as Erik Hoftun still is in his posistion as sporting director I don`t think it will vikingbaggie. But who know, their supporters is very critical against Hoftun and it look like the club may will have a back room overhaul. If Hoftun goes and the clubs not yet have reached an agreement, then I suppose anything can happen.
