Meanwhile at the Custard Bowl.......... ;D .

And they won. Funny old game. Despite the rotten run they've had they'll be fine. Classic mid-table safety form - have a good run, lose a few games, then pick up an unexpected good result.

Watched most of  the Wolves game , had a slice of luck but they worked much harder than of late . 1st goal awful keeping , 2nd looked a foul in the build up on one glance but can't take away from a great win sadly , battered Hazard at times.
Away at Newcastle next , the sort of game they have been losing.

Brilliant free kick from him and brilliant cross for the goal. What a player, wish we had him instead of J-Rod right now

They're in serious danger of heading back to the pre Fergie days of the 70's and 80's where they'd win the odd trophy but ultimately flatter to deceive.

I don't think they will get to that stage purely because they will always have an absolute fortune to throw at it thanks to their commercial strength. At some stage they will get the right manager in to fix it.

Haven't watched MOTD this season and only sparingly before that I think changing the personnel every season would perk it up whenever i see that luvvie liberal Lineker I just want to puke.

They need a fresh start. I think they haven't really had a vision for the last few years, Moyes was brought in as a 'long term plan' but failed, Van Gaal was brought in as a name and to bring experience. Jose the same, they have thrown money at players but they don't really have an identity or way of playing.

The team is full of individuals.

The current defence is shocking and if you went through the teams first 11, you would struggle to put any of them in the starting 11 of the other top 4/5 teams.

Pretty similar to the post Busby era with the likes of McGuiness, O'Farrell etc took them a long time then as well

£24m for abject failure. More fool Man Utd for agreeing that contract.

The way they have been playing and the comments he has been making, it’s almost as though he wanted to be sacked.....

Think Jose looked a defeated man a few months back to be honest.

Guessing he's not too fussed about the sacking, 24million in his pocket and will no doubt be given another job at a big European club soon.

United really need to think about this next appointment, do they give someone a chance to build something (i.e a Poch) or do they go for experience to try and get instant results (i.e a Hiddink).

I don't think Zidane would be right for that job to be honest. The whole defence needs sorting.

If you can get Pogba playing then you have a totally different United team.

Don't think spending money is their problem , spending it on the right players is proving more difficult!  Just about anybody that could have afforded Lukaku , Pogba, Sanchez even Martial would have bought them.but Lindelof Shaw etc really ?
