Faal scored on the weekend and again tonight. I think it makes it 13 for him this season

Another hat trick by Cole Palmer tonight puts Chelsea 3 -0 up against Everton with 29 minutes of the game gone.

What a talent. Can Southgate find a way to use it?

I mean he can pick up to start with. But Southgate disappoints for me with how he uses our talent.

I was think along these lines however, I expect norwich to finish 5th, so it's only Coventry or Hull (not both) that need to leap frog us. It's close.... hopefully a draw or Hull win in their game

True and good point. Although I see us beating Sheff Weds and Preston so should be ok although if we lose to Leicester it could get squeaky before it gets ok again

Sounds like it’s all ended rather sour for Martin and Swansea.

Talking of Martin, I’ve glanced over all the final fixtures for the top and play-offs and I can’t quite believe that Southampton are back in the autos race after looking cut off. Two crucial factors for them are that they have two games in hand and they still have to play two rivals in Leicester and Leeds so it is in their hands.

On the subject of Southampton; they play Preston tomorrow and I would say if Saints win that we are very very close to a play-off spot as it looks unlikely that both Hull and Coventry will leapfrog us as the game in hand they both have - is against each other.

So basically if Saints beat Preston and Hull beat Coventry then the maximum that both Cov and Preston could get would leave us needing just 1 more point to become unattainable.

Cue Preston and Coventry wins…

Listen he hasn’t “carried”us at all ,let’s not use dramatic phrases ,if you remember when he was injured we were unbeaten and still scored a lot of goals,300k ,80million or free ,in my eyes he’s a very poor player, and I would put good money on it any of our youngsters (ie faal ,Malcolm) if they played as many times as assante this season they wouldent have been far off his goal tally and assists

I think what Dan is saying is he’s carried the responsibility rather than literally carried us as there’s definitely been a shared responsibility on the goals scored column this season but over this season and last BTA has scored very important goals, some turning draws into wins or losses into draws.

We’re all in unison that we’d rather Dike or Maja led the line but the truth is they haven’t been able to through injury and BTA has stepped up.

I don’t think he was ever bought to be first choice number 9 - I certainly appreciate just how much he’s filled in while others have been injured. I would prefer others were there and that he had a chance to play wide in front 3 but he’s not had the chance.

But where he has had to fill in he’s tried incredibly hard for the club and the ROI is excellent.

Mikey Johnston named Championship Player of the Month for March.

Funny that some have said how bad he is yet his contribution has been recognised by the league. Well done Mikey! He’s been an absolutely fantastic acquisition and has really helped us consolidate our Play-off position.

When Sarmiento left I was worried but this has played out exceptionally well for both us and him.

Wow that is stat! A shame because if we managed to sort our away form out earlier I reckon we could've challenged for Autos

Everyone looked at the Leicester game hoping was them on a holiday having wrapped up the title and now look! Beat Sunderland and that is a free hit with all the pressure on them!

8 way relegation and 3 way autos promotion battle could go down to last day, this league is something else!

Well you can update that stat now to same amount of losses!

Pressure on them you never know, could work in our favour.

Yep, a win tomorrow sees us almost there.

In this crazy league here’s something I just noticed; we have lost only 1 more match than Leicester.

2 games with a big impact for us this evening. Norwich at Sheff Wed. and Coventry at Southampton. If Norwich win, they overtake us. If Coventry win, they are just 3 points behind with a game in hand.

They won’t have a game in hand at that point. If we lose tomorrow and Coventry have won today - then the above will apply.

It’s likely that we’ll win, and that Coventry probably won’t win so hopefully it’ll be us 9 points ahead with Cov having a game in hand.*

*I can see this post aging poorly by 10pm tomorrow!

I saw it from about 40 mins onward. Pretty good watch that! I hope Liverpool and Man U can emulate that and their FA Cup match a few weeks ago

I’d definitely like to see a couple of changes. Not the major tweaks to the spine of the team but Phillips and M’Villa getting a couple of starts could work as well as easing Maja back in to start play-off games.

Disappointed really. But strange though as didn’t even deserve to draw so I’m
Disappointed and relieved which is how I felt when we came back from 2 down last week.

Not sure BTA has done enough recently.

And finally, Weimann should bury that!

Strangely enough, after the wind caused us havoc, we seem to be making no use of it whatsoever

Andy Johnson is saying the wind has completely died second half.

I’m fed up of saying ,he is atrocious

He scores some worldies, works VERY hard but he does not do the simple things well. Hopefully Maja will be back soon and can get a run up top and BTA can be super sub.

Hope we can try and take a bit of advantage of that wind and cause some chaos in their area.

Nervy half there. Kinda conditions and game where I’m thankful Mr Pulis isn’t in the dugout for them.

We will be very lucky to get to half time one up.

Lucky to get to this point. We have to adjust something based on this wind. The few long balls we’ve got clearly aren’t working either. Hope we try some second half.

Great goal, that “useless” pair linking up for a useless lead and possibly a useless 3 points.

Just looking at the fixtures today and the table. Norwich have Ipswich, Coventry face Leeds and Hull have a tricky tie at Cardiff. If we consider last weekend’s results we got away with one really and with those chasing us having tougher fixtures again today we really need to be recording a win and consolidating 5th. If we draw and those below close the gap as well as Middlesborough seemingly racing up the table it could get a bit squeaky.

Need to get back to winning ways today.

All much easier said than done with Stoke fighting to stay up.

I hope to see Diangana back in today and Johnston and Fellows on the wings. BTA likes a goal against Stoke so keep him in.

Hopefully Kipre will be back in at the back as Ajayi concerns me every time he’s on the pitch.
