Favourite current Premier League player?
« on: October 07, 2013, 10:19:37 PM »
Who's your favourite current Premier League player, and why?

I was thinking about this over the weekend. There are so many good players, but it can be hard to choose a favourite player.

My fave has to be Torres. I like his temperament, his ability, his attitude, and in general (aside from last weekend) the way he gets on with the game.

Non-Albion, I presume.

Easy. Romelu Lukaku. Perfect attitude, class individual, exciting to watch.

Albion wise it would be Gareth McAuley - the way he has taken his chance at this level is remarkable.

Away form the Albion, like Quakes it would be Romelu Lukaku for exactly the same reasons. Fell in love with him last year and I wish him every success in the future.

In the Premier League it has to be Steven Gerrard- complete midfielder and a loyal servant to Liverpool. Has to contest Dalglish for their best ever.

In terms of Albion and I know I'll get criticised for this but Zoltan Gera. Not suggesting he's the best anymore but is my favourite.

I know he has a lot of critics and rightly so with some of the things he's done but talent-wise Suarez for me.
Allllllll aboard

Agree on both counts.   Gera for Albion and Gerrard for Liverpool.

Either Yaya Toure or Berbatov. Everything Toure does is just destructive and watching Berbatov is a joy(except against us!)

Aguero, best striker in the world IMO

So my five a side would be

                   Cech

          Kompany yacob
                  Silva

                 Aguero
Beat that!

Good shout with Aguero and your 5 a side team which leads me on to my favourite player who would replace Yacob.

Moussa Dembele. He is the player i look at and think i wish i played football like that. The way he protects the ball with his composure and strength is mesmorising. Just neds to add a better shot and ultimately goals to his game.

David Luiz        Kompany

          Jesus Navas

                Torres

Technically though Messi isn't an out an out striker as he plays anywhere he wants along the Barcelona front line. For Argentina he's deployed in the hole behind Aguero. It's like saying Ronaldo is a striker just because he scores loads, when in fact he plays LW
Ohhhhh Albion we love you!

Right, listen up.

What is he then? He plays centrally and furthest forward for Barce. Yes or no? Ah, don't question, just answer yes or no. Never mind Argentina for now, they are trying to find a winning system.

Don't argue there is no argument.

(PS! Yes I know I come across as argumentative and arrogant, but it's all light hearted fun ............. honest!)  ;D
