Pressure on tbh we didn't deserve a get of jail card. Can't beat Preston we don't deserve play offs
If you’d have told me at the start of the season this would happen I’d have snatched your hand off. However, as always ‘it’s the hope …’ We have been poor for sometime and to be fair don’t deserve to be in the play-offs but you never know.

On reflection I’m just very disappointed again after this afternoons performance. I’ve no issues with our effort at Leicester last week but both Sunderland and Sheffield have beaten us because of sheer determination to win. I don’t know why but our players are just not up for a battle. It must be a lack of character and leadership.

Simple truth is the squad is old as many have pointed out with the exception of Fellows we have no one good enough in the stiffs to replace the oldies.
A major clearout required in the summer.
Totally agree. My concern is that we don’t have the structure at the club in place to rebuild. Next season may need to be a project but the longer we are out of the Premier League the poorer we get.

We were thrashed
Yes, I truly believe we had by far the best players but we showed no heart. Not good enough from our players or coaches.

Much that I rate him as a manager he is definitely not beyond criticism. His selections and tactics at times are very negative. Worse still he doesn’t seem to be able to motivate our players when they need to stand up and be counted. For me he has to get a win next Saturday although I don’t expect to overcome better sides in the playoffs. I think everything is up for question in the summer including whether he can take us forwards as a team. Personally I like him and hope he’ll be successful but I want better football.

If Hull win, we are still above them with goal difference.
Depends how many Sheffield put past us today! 😀

COME ON IPSWICH
Yes - I think we can only make the playoffs by default now.

Based on the last three games we really don’t deserve to be in the playoffs. We just don’t have the right mentality against sides that put the effort in.

Playing with effectively four wide players isn’t working.

It’s time for some of our players to stand up and be counted. Losing three in a row would be a real let down.

Leeds thought they just had to turn up , whilst Qpr came for a fight . Let’s hope we turn up tomorrow with the right attitude, need to win the battle before we can start to play it around
That does worry me about our squad. We need to show a maturity tomorrow. Let’s hope we keep our heads as a point will probably be enough.

I quite agree. I just hope the grit Albion showed yesterday can translate into a couple of goals. Oh for a striker.
For me you’ve hit the nail on the head - grit. Vardy (love him or hate him) has more of that than our entire team. Ballard showed more last weekend - it seemed to really matter to Sunderland to get a result at our place - more than it seemed to ours. We don’t currently have that winner mentality in our side.

Sheffield have had a great result at Blackburn today. Just worry that they’ll be too determined for us at their place. They are really battling and I’m not convinced we have that sort of character in our team.

Two massive games for us to come. Four points should be enough. If we can’t get them against Sheffield and Preston then we don’t deserve to be in the playoffs.

We need Wallace to let go of another!

He really isn’t
Just don’t think replacing him as he’s in contract would be my highest priority if we are playing Championship football next year.

I’m no fan of Townsend but in most Championship games he’s ok. If we were to go up absolutely a left back has to be on the shopping list but he’s generally good enough at this level.

Suspect we will be down to 6th by the end of the day
I think Norwich will finish above us if we lose today. They have two home games in a row you’d expect them to win. We need to finish above Hull.

Hope Carlos is giving the prat in the middle an earful at halftime.
I doubt he gets to speak with the ref during the break.

Strange half. Totally dominated for twenty minutes and had three very good chances. Leicesters goal was completely against the run of play. Ref books M’Vila for one innocuous foul and ignores 4/5 similar ones by Choudrey then gives them a soft penalty. Anything can happen in this one second half. I have a feeling we’ll get something.

He can play either wing
I’d go Johnson right and Phillips left.

Another reason to bring Phillips on 2nd half.
Doesn’t Phillips play on the left?

Diangana offering nothing again
He’s far better in the middle.
